Easy installation, works great

We had a new privacy fence put up and there were several gaps at the bottom. My husband installed these after a hard rain, and it was quite easy. The gaps are filled and we no longer have to worry about our dogs possibly going under the fence.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great product to help protect bottom of fence

Bought these to put at the bottom of my chicken coop to help prevent outside critters from digging under the fence. They are strong metal and can hammer in easily. Soften dirt a bit as if the dirt is too hard and rocky, you can have trouble hammering this down. Very helpful to have this product.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I have a lab that likes to dig. I was lining the fence with cinder blocks before, but this is a far better solution. I bought a 4lb single handed sledge hammer and hit at the Dig Defence with the top side of the sledge hammer (similar motion as digging a post hole). Takes some effort, but it went through some very rocky soil. The dog hasn't started trying to dig there yet, but I'm very confident this will hold up. And it's invisible if you cover it with dirt!

Yes, I recommend this product.

So, this 1 star is not for the product or it&#39;s ability to protect pets and against pests/predators. <img src="https://s3.amazonaws.com/stratos-logos/logos/DigDefence.png" alt="DigDefence" title="DigDefence" style="display: block !important; margin-top: 2em !important; border: 1px solid #ccc !important; padding: 2px !important; background-color: white !important;" /> <!--[if ReviewResponse]><![endif]-->

Each unit consists of almost a quarter of an inch solid steel wire, however they can be slightly malleable. We strongly suggest watching all the installation videos before attempting to install, the top of the vertical spikes is what needs to be struck with the hammer during installation. If the horizontal bar is struck in an area without the vertical spike, there can be some bending. With that said the unit can be handled back into shape! <img src="https://s3.amazonaws.com/stratos-logos/logos/DigDefence.png" alt="DigDefence" title="DigDefence" style="display: block !important; margin-top: 2em !important; border: 1px solid #ccc !important; padding: 2px !important; background-color: white !important;" /> <!--[if ReviewResponse]><![endif]-->

No-Dig Barrier Works Great!!

5 Big Dog Mom

This barrier was purchased due to my yard being on a hill & the chain link fencing for our 5 big dogs having some small loose opening at the bottom of the fence. It is working great & our dogs can no longer get under the fencing because this barrier has allowed the fence slack to be pulled down enough to touch the grass in the uneven area & peg the loose fencing down. The price on the other hand is rather expensive, I could not afford to purchase any more.

Yes, I recommend this product.

We do have different models available with smaller spike spacing. Please be sure to watch all videos before any purchase to determine the correct model for you. Adult skunks would not be able to squeeze through most of our models. <img src="https://s3.amazonaws.com/stratos-logos/logos/DigDefence.png" alt="DigDefence" title="DigDefence" style="display: block !important; margin-top: 2em !important; border: 1px solid #ccc !important; padding: 2px !important; background-color: white !important;" /> <!--[if ReviewResponse]><![endif]-->

Will these barriers keep rabbits outbid the yard? If so what size do you recommend?

  1. Yes, if you surround your entire yard with them. Id go with the smallest opening.

What gauge is the steel?

  1. I didn't measure them with calipers before installing, but all rods looked to be about 3/16" diameter. Each vertical was welded to the horizontal rod along the top. The welds were good, but it is imperative that the tines go into the ground straight. If they are at all angled when they start going in, they will torque the vertical rods at the welds and eventually break them off. Soft dirt will make this MUCH easier.

I’m interested in buying this product. I have a Great Dane and a Chiweene, which size do you recommend?

  1. Large or XL depending on how deeply they dig and/or how big the gap is you're trying to fill. Keep in mind that if you have rocky soil, the prongs might not go very far into the ground however.

Are these hollow? Or solid?

  1. These are heavy duty wire. Imagine a wide pitch fork that you push into the ground to Blick a hole.

Is the removal of the product easy? We live in a temporary house, and will likely be moving in the next year and a half, would we have to leave this in the ground or would it be easy to remove and take with us?

  1. Very easy to remove, just pull them up and take them with you!

how high is the fence

  1. It isnt a fence. It is something you hammer into the ground under an existing fence.

Can I put these up against my fence to stop armadillos from digging in my yard?

  1. Hello Danni, thank you for your question. We work with numerous pest control companies and they actually prefer the XL Animal Barrier for those situations. It has the deepest protection with the smallest spike spacing to protect against more aggressive diggers. Please be sure to watch our installation videos for best results.

What size to keep rabbits from digging under my wood fence?

  1. Thank you for your question, we work with numerous pest control companies and they prefer the XL model for situations such as those. It has the smallest spike spacing for smaller animals and the deepest protection for the most aggressive diggers.

How many feet total is in the 25 count? I could not find anyplace where it lists the lengths

  1. Hello and thank you for your question. Each Large Animal barrier will protect 3 feet of fence. During installation we suggest keeping the same spacing between units as the spike spacing is on the unit. The Large model has 2.5" spike spacing, when installing start 2.5" from the fence post, install the 1st unit and then move 2.5" to install the 2nd unit and so on. This will give you just over 3 feet of protection per unit, in a 25 pack you can assume 75 feet of protection.

We have 2 25 lb corgis that we are afraid of escaping. What sizes would you recommend?

  1. Thank you for your question. It depends on the size of gaps from the bottom of the fence and the ground, also if you already have existing gaps or "favorite" digging spots. If you have gaps 4" or under the Small/Med model would be great. If you have already existing digging areas, or spots they like to "attack", look at the XL model. Be sure to watch our "tips" video for more information on how to determine the correct model for your situation.
