Best dog food brand IMO

CD

My 2 year old German Shepherd mix is generally a picky eater with a sensitive stomach. This is the first dog food brand and type I've seen him enjoy enough to scarf down his entire breakfast or dinner in one go (vs. slowly snack on throughout the day). His fur and skin look great, he has lots of energy, and his bowel movements look better than ever (haha). He's been eating Diamond Naturals for about a year now and the Skin & Coat variety for about 4 months. We're very happy with the price point and quality of this food so far :)

My Puppy Loves It!

We brought our 11 week old frenchie puppy home with the food the breeder recommended. He continued to have loose stools. We have always had our dogs on Diamond and wanted to switch our puppy to a no chicken diet. We put him on the all stages Salmon and Potato. He is now 10 months old and has been doing great on it. I would definitely recommend this food.

Does this have hydrolized protein?

  1. Hello – The salmon in our Diamond Naturals Skin and Coat All Life Stages Dog Salmon and Potato Formula is not hydrolyzed. If you’re interested in a formula that does contain hydrolyzed salmon, you may want to consider our Diamond CARE Sensitive Skin Formula: https://dpf.pet/adult-dog-sensitive-skin.

Is this food grain free

  1. Hello – Our Diamond Naturals Skin & Coat All Life Stages Dog Salmon & Potato Formula contains chia seed. While chia seed is not technically a cereal product and not classified as a grain, some consider chia seed to be an ancient grain. Chia seed is a gluten-free superfood that offers many health benefits to dogs, such as fiber and high polyunsaturated (good) fat. The remaining ingredients in this formula are classified as grain-free.

Has anyone tried this food for very sensitive stomachs?

  1. Hello – Our Diamond Naturals Skin & Coat All Life Stages Dog Salmon & Potato Formula may be a good option for dogs with sensitive stomachs because it features real salmon as the main protein source. This formula also contains antioxidants and guaranteed probiotics to help support a healthy digestive and immune system. Additionally, we recommend consulting with your veterinarian to determine the best diet for your pet, based on their needs.

Hi, How big is the kibble?  I have 8 and 10 pound dogs and don’t know if kibble is too big.

  1. It's small, roughly the size of cat kibble. We have a tiny chihuahua and a black lab. Both can eat this food just fine.
