My dog is a 3 year Maltese with 11 lbs. He was wearing a Scalibur necklace for flees, and by that developed a red rash around the neck. We removed it yesterday, but today he is itching, breathing more heavily than normal, and squiling. We called a vet and she told us to give him dexamethasone. We have 0.5mg human dexamethasone. We gave him 1 pill 0,5mg 5 hours ago, and 2 more half an hour ago. Total 1.5mg. Is that enough? Should we give more? When will the effect take place? Thanks!

Very worried about side effects of low dose steroid on my senior cat age c12-14 years old.Dose is 2.5mg per day of Prednisolone.Neutered male who as degenerative disease in elbows and foot.He is lame going up stairs and other than that I cannot see any limping of apparent pain when he s walking. He cannot tolerate Loxicom-vomits.My worry is that I am medicating a healthy senior cat when I do not need to.So far the side effects of steroids are increased appetite and thirst. V.worried.
My dog is prescribed cephalexin 500 my (2) and prednisolone 20 mg (1). 2c a day once every 12 hrs.he just got his last dose at 7pm. He seems very sleepy and sedated I've had him on this for 5 days now no issues but today seems extra sleepy

I would like to know for how long the corticosteriod methylprednisolone stays in my dogs system. She gets a 3ml shot every 20 or 25 days for her allergies. She currently weights 9kg and it looks like the shot is being less efective now (she has been on this treatment for more than a year now) . And seem not to be able to put on more weight is there a relation between the shot and weight?
My dog has been on steroids for about a week and a half. He has 1 pill left for tomorrow. He is out of pain pills and the vet said I can give him the deramaxx for pain. After taking Hoonie to the vet because of his limping, the vet gave him some dexamethasone to take for seven days 2 times a day after meals and doxycycline for 10 days two times a day after meals. So i recently asked if benadryl and a steroid shot could be the cause to my puppy throwing up after allergic reaction. I found out the steroid shot he was injected with was dexamethasone is it normal for him to be throwing up because of that shot and should i take him to vet right away or try bland diet first to see if that helps with throwing up?

Hello. I wanted to ask the dosage for these 2 medicines. They are for a baby crow with splayed leg. The first medicine is Neuroqik and the other is Meloxicam. The doctor I asked asked me to give 10 drops from Meloxicam for today and 5 drops twice a day from tmr onwards , which I feel like is too much for a baby crow. Neuroqik's dosage was prescribed to be 0.5 ml twice daily. Is this prescription correct?
