Roseline Sharks are large, showy, schooling fish that are a great choice for freshwater community aquariums over 75 gallons and should be kept in groups of at least 6. One distinguishing feature of this family is the lack of an adipose fin (a boneless fin found between the dorsal fin and the caudal or tail fin). A streamlined fish reaching at least five inches in captivity, the Roseline Shark is easily recognized with its shiny silver body. In the wild, they live in fast moving, highly oxygenated, mountain streams where they live in rocky pools. Decor can vary, including planted aquariums or a more natural habitat consisting of some stones and larger rocks for them to rest behind. Denison barbs are not difficult to feed and mostly eat small invertebrates and some plant matter in the wild. A balanced and varied diet of live or frozen small meaty foods (bloodworms, blackworms, brine shrimp etc.) along with some quality pellets or flakes will lead to your fish being their healthiest.

ACCLIMATION: Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. For new aquariums, adding new fish slowly helps to properly develop the nitrogen cycle, which creates a safe environment for your aquatic pets. A bacteria booster may also help develop a new aquarium for your new fish. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried, and frozen food, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller, unfiltered aquariums.
If we need to contact you for any reason about your order, shipping of your package may be affected. Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email with your order summary. Orders are subject to verification of payment information by phone or email.

I have bought an odessa barb about a month ago. About 2 weeks ago she started to form a sandlike, white "bump". I then treated the tank for ich, but now my barb has three areas where its red under the white thing. The white bump is more like flesh, i think. Help?..
I got a red barb a couple months ago and I thought it was just a little bit deformed. But today I looked at the fish and it has a white thing that came out of its skin where I thought its body was the most crooked. So I would like to know maybe what the white thing is and if I should put the fish in quarantine.
I got 2 tiger barbs today and already placed them in their tank. They are staying close together under a plastic plant that I put in and don't move or go to eat the food I placed in. What do I do? These are my first ever tiger barbs so I don't know how to take care of them in depth.
The barbel of my arowana curved and today half of 1 barbel fell off. Should I worry? Will it grow back? Also it's not eating. I have time a lot of food 2 days before coz I was adding a new fish. Help Thanks
