When I first saw this toy, I thought it was amazing, and my cats went ballistic over it. But this one was abominable. It broke within the first 10 minutes of play!!! The string is SO cheap!! Luckily, my engineer hubby found some better cord and just tied it to the pole, and now we've got non-stop play. I cannot believe how cheaply made these are now, it's very disappointing.

I have four cats and this toy is the best one to have them all engaged at the same time. Most of the other toys that I have cannot be played with simultaneously. They like to all watch it and swat at it as it flies by, often jumping and lunging towards the “bird.” They play with it pretty hard too, to the point where they’re panting in exhaustion. One of the reviewers said that the string gets wound up around the pole but I did not experience that. It’s best to swing the toy around in large sweeping motions. I/We also like that it flies and flutters like a real bird!

I got like 30 toys for my fur-baby. This is definitely the top 5 must-haves and the number one teaser. She went running and romping immediately for it every time when I played with her.

1 cat BEGS every day to play w this. 2nd joins in. The old fatty even gets excited occasionally when this breaks out. Even the male gets intrigued. We’ve had numerous others. I have no idea what it is about this one, but all of mine LOVE this one!

Today is our cat's birthday and this is one of the toys we picked out to give her. She is a birder so she adores this! The feathers are put together in a way that when you draw them through the air they really look like they are flying. The bright feather colors attracted her attention. This is one toy that made her day.

My kitten absolutely loves this toy but it keeps breaking. It isn't worth the price if I have to get pliers to put it back together. (For me it's the chain that connects the string and feathers together that breaks.)

This came highly recommended! Well, the cat goes bonkers over, I suspect because it has long feathers, but it fell apart in one day. That's right, one day, about two hours of play, the feathers just fall out. I shouldn't need to be breaking out the crazy glue in less than 24 hours for any wand toy.

Where can I find Da Bird cat toy that is all one piece? I understand that the collapsible one is not able to take the abuse of our Bengal catching it

Sorry that I don't know where you can find a one piece wand. If I understand your question, the wand is actually not collapsible. It is in two pieces and one slides into the other but it does not fold. I volunteer at the SPCA, where I bring these toys and I have not found any cat, however strong or fast, that can break the wand. It is very flexible which is partly why the toy works such magic. The other reason it flies and flutters so realistically is because there are two toggles attaching the "bird" to the string, these toggles turn freely 360 degrees so the feathers appear like a flying bird and it even makes a flying noise when it spins, as you sweep it through the air.
