Producing Flightless Drosophila Hydei Fruit Fly Culture

Drosophila hydei (also known simply as hydei) are another commonly encountered fruit fly in the hobby.
- - Hydei measure about 1/8", and are quite a bit larger and 'meatier' than D. melanogaster - perfectly suited for the same types of animals, but that prefer slightly larger prey items
- - A 'flightless' form of hydei is most commonly available - this strain will not revert back to fliers at a higher temperature
- - For optimal production, these cultures should be kept at 75-78F and 60-80% humidity
- - Should be hatching new flies within 3 days of arriving to you

Hello. I can’t get my baby crested gecko to even be interested in taking a cricket. Crickets are the right size the breeder feed and also the breeder said that this gecko was eating crickets and would hunt them. I feed Repashy. Does that supplement crickets too? My first crested gecko Oakley, did this also. But after about 3-4 weeks of trying Oakley did eat crickets. Any suggestions on how to get my new crested gecko, aspen, to eat crickets? He is really good eater with his Repashy. (three legs)
