I have a female rescue Boston terrier. She's little over yr old. I am having trouble getting her to eat . Hills small breed., Pro plan small breed, Blue Small breed and Eukanubba small breed she hasn't liked! I'm literally Ready to go canned food because my 1st Boston ate pedigree can feed lived 15 yrs he had touch of gas of course. What do you recommend? I've asked PetSmart and I'm looking at changing pet stores now especially if you can give me a good idea of what she Will eat. Dry or soft
Hi I currently shop on Chewy.com for all my pet needs, they’re great by the way!! I’m really searching for a different flavor royal canine wet dog food and royal canine doesn’t have much of a selection. So I also saw broth bowls food topper. I would really appreciate it if you can just give me your analysis on this product and if you think I should buy it? Thank you and merry Christmas Diana
My dog rarely eats dog food and I have to give her bones and meat. Is there a specific type of food I should buy her?
What would be the best wet dog food for her weighing 3.3 lbs. 4 years and has Periodontal desease? And can I purchase at Petco or Petsmart? Thank you
Thank you for your response to my question regarding Brownies leaky eyes! I will try the Angel Eyes ASAP. While browsing through the question/answer forum I came across your advice regarding giving dogs cooked bones. It was DON'T do it! I'm feeling like a terrible Mom now because I buy the frozen soup bones at my local grocery store for Brownie as a treat. I cook one for 10-12 minutes (there is little to no meat on the bone, however inside is full of marrow which she LOVES) and then refrigerate.
Hi I am changing my dogs food due to allergies, he is been taken off chicken and I am trying wainwright’s duck with rice as recommended but his poo is hard and crumbles when I pick it up, will this change in time or do I need to give him something else with it ? Thanks
My dog swallowed a ham bone a couple of days ago. About one inch circumference and has been struggling to eliminate her bowels ever since. I have been giving her pumpkin hoping this would help move things along, but she is still struggling. She weighs about 55# and is about 10 years old. Can you give me any advice on helping her? Thank you Ruth Dana
Hi! I am considering changing Addy’s food over to Taste of the Wild High Prairee puppy food. It’s grain free and has lean proteins and a 28% protein content. Currently she is on Blue Buffalo large breed puppy food that has whole grains. She is experience soft stool in the evening. I believe this may be from her food? Blue Buffalo is chicken based, and she does drink lots of water. She just had a vet appt, no presence of parasites in her stool. Any recommendations?
I'm not happy at all with my Buddy' feeding routine. My mom was doggy sitting him and along with the boiled chicken and vegetable meal I would prepare for him, she started adding the soft parts of the chicken bones to his meal. He would devour his meal in minutes, but now he won't eat if he doesn't find the bones in his meal, basically he is eating one bowl of food a day and snacking on his dehydrated treats. Today for example it was 4:30 and he had not eaten nothing no meal or treats... HELP
Hi, we recently had to put our 14 years old dog down and our other dog who is 1,5 quit eating her normal dry food, we changed twice and she would still not eat, she would eat bones and canned food
Our 15yr old jack Russell Terrior is starving himself. Can feel ribs, spine etc. Started feeding him chicken, yogurt, soft food. Doesn't eat much of it, very lathargic. Woobbley and weak to walk. We just want to make him comfortable.. He has large lumps on his neck, I'm sure it's cancer. His sibling all have died from cancer. Stool is mucus, small soft balls and as of today, drips of blood. He does not seem in pain, not moaning, crying, whining etc. Advice about keeping him comfortable.
My dog has been on a homemade diet after being diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease. I have been giving high quality lean protein with white rice & squash along with supplements-Hawthorne berry, CoQ10, ipakitine & vitamin b12. Now that I've reduced the protein even more in his meals, he doesn't seem as interested in eating as he was. Can I add chicken broth? Homemade with just dark chicken meat - no bones as I know they are high in phosphorus or will this addition be too high in protein?
