Ok so I have an issue. Its getting cold here and we are looking at some very heavy snow this year. All three of our dogs are rather thin coated. The older two refuse to potty outside if its too cold. Would sweaters help? Also the youngest is less than two pounds (tiny chihuahua mix) and even though he's not allowed outside yet we like 2 to 4 inches above our floor tend to get cold no matter what temperature we keep the house at how can I help him stay warm?
I got a wooden house for the dog, i will put warm blankets on the inside, and her pillow/bed on the inside. The door is plastic three stripes. Can I leave her to sleep and stay at the balcony at night or during the day ? temperature goes down to -5 celsius
We just bought a new house and now my fully house trained dog is going to the bathroom in the house including urinating on our bed. I haven't had a problem with her going to the bathroom in the house since 2 days after I brought her home from the pound a little over a year ago. I'm thinking it's because we don't have a fenced in yard anymore so she's throwing a fit. Were fencing in the yard in about 3 months, but I'm tired of constantly washing sheets. Our puppy is 11 mnths and is trained to ring a bell and go outside to do her business. She will be staying with my Mom when we are on vacation, and she lives in a 2nd floor apartment. My question is, would it be okay to put the bell on the door to the balcony, then put a “grass” pee pad out there for her to use? We leave in 2 days.
We have a huge fenced in dog kennel about 30 feet from our house and our dogs go in it to use the bathroom. But when we take them out without leashes they run away. We already tried electric collers. Building a fence to the kennel is not an option. How do we do this???
