Ok so I have an issue. Its getting cold here and we are looking at some very heavy snow this year. All three of our dogs are rather thin coated. The older two refuse to potty outside if its too cold. Would sweaters help? Also the youngest is less than two pounds (tiny chihuahua mix) and even though he's not allowed outside yet we like 2 to 4 inches above our floor tend to get cold no matter what temperature we keep the house at how can I help him stay warm?
I got a wooden house for the dog, i will put warm blankets on the inside, and her pillow/bed on the inside. The door is plastic three stripes. Can I leave her to sleep and stay at the balcony at night or during the day ? temperature goes down to -5 celsius
We just bought a new house and now my fully house trained dog is going to the bathroom in the house including urinating on our bed. I haven't had a problem with her going to the bathroom in the house since 2 days after I brought her home from the pound a little over a year ago. I'm thinking it's because we don't have a fenced in yard anymore so she's throwing a fit. Were fencing in the yard in about 3 months, but I'm tired of constantly washing sheets. What can I do to make it stop?
Parameters for being outside for a 7/8 yt? old rescue beagle.. She prefers to be out. Had an igloo dog house.
I was recently informed when my significant other's grandmother passes( which will unfortunately probably be sometime this year) we are going to be the most likely to inherit her dogs. Can you guys offer any advice on incorporating a middle-aged Jack Russell and a slightly obese senior Chihuahua and to the family of a Lab mix puppy a Chiweenie puppy and a young cat?
Hi am 13 and i am looking for a first time dog ( dont mention a retriever ) I will gove my lifestyle and please give name me a breed: I am busy My dog will primarily stay outside in a well clean comfy dog house Excercise is no problem I prefer a medium or large size I want a natural guardian I want a family dog I will be the primary trainer I need a short or medium coated dog I go to school I need a dog with low seperarion anxiety I will give it the training and the attention it needs
My husband and I want to get a dog either a British Bulldog or a Cocker Spaniel We’ve never had a dog before so we need advice please We have no children and do not get many visitors We have a 3 bedroom home with secure front and rear grassed gardens We both work I’m gone max 6 hours per day We read up on both breed personality trainability companion health issues there’s lots of contradictions and this is why we are confused which breed is best For first time ever dog owners what do you think
Our puppy is 11 mnths and is trained to ring a bell and go outside to do her business. She will be staying with my Mom when we are on vacation, and she lives in a 2nd floor apartment. My question is, would it be okay to put the bell on the door to the balcony, then put a “grass” pee pad out there for her to use? We leave in 2 days.
We have a huge fenced in dog kennel about 30 feet from our house and our dogs go in it to use the bathroom. But when we take them out without leashes they run away. We already tried electric collers. Building a fence to the kennel is not an option. How do we do this???
My family is looking for a family dog. We would like for it to be a calm pet that doesn’t have chewing tendencies and can be a protector if needed. I was wondering if you have any breed recommendations? Thank you
My wife, our little dog Matel, and I have been evacuated from our home due to the camp fire in northern California. I've noticed lately Matel is showing some signs of depression. What do you recommend in helping her come out of it? We are soon to be in another house when escrow closes. I'm aware she feels the stress like we do. But how could I help her?
My dog is a female terrier mix. She is fully housetrained in our house but has never been to another house. My parents have agreed to take her when we go on vacation. Will she be housetrained in their house?
