Ok so I have an issue. Its getting cold here and we are looking at some very heavy snow this year. All three of our dogs are rather thin coated. The older two refuse to potty outside if its too cold. Would sweaters help? Also the youngest is less than two pounds (tiny chihuahua mix) and even though he's not allowed outside yet we like 2 to 4 inches above our floor tend to get cold no matter what temperature we keep the house at how can I help him stay warm?
I got a wooden house for the dog, i will put warm blankets on the inside, and her pillow/bed on the inside. The door is plastic three stripes. Can I leave her to sleep and stay at the balcony at night or during the day ? temperature goes down to -5 celsius

We just bought a new house and now my fully house trained dog is going to the bathroom in the house including urinating on our bed. I haven't had a problem with her going to the bathroom in the house since 2 days after I brought her home from the pound a little over a year ago. I'm thinking it's because we don't have a fenced in yard anymore so she's throwing a fit. Were fencing in the yard in about 3 months, but I'm tired of constantly washing sheets. We have a huge fenced in dog kennel about 30 feet from our house and our dogs go in it to use the bathroom. But when we take them out without leashes they run away. We already tried electric collers. Building a fence to the kennel is not an option. How do we do this???
We have adopted our daughter's dog. She is a small breed mix. She has had at least one traumatic experience in which she was taken and dropped off on a rural road. There were storms during the three days it took to find her. She is very scared during stormy weather. Our problem with her is sometimes when left alone for several hours or a day, she will scratch at the door as if trying to dig her way out. She has destroyed the carpet near the door and the brand new linoleum we put in place.
I bought Duke a nice new dog bed. He likes it but pees on it daily. I’m assuming to mark it as his. It has a removable waterproof cover so I can just wash it. But washing it daily isn’t always an option. Other than just washing it daily is there anything I can do?
I’m getting a golden retriever puppy and already have an older dog (Bischon) who is 5yrs old. Currently we have a portable fake grass potty. Can they share one or is it better to have one each? we live in a townhouse with no yard! The puppy will be about 8 weeks old.
My dog is acting odd. Instead of going outside, doing her business and coming right back to the door, she walks off into the wood and just lays. Not far into the woods, she can see our house, but will lay in the woods for hours unless we go and get her. Then she is happy to see us and comes back with little coaxing.
