Pet had skin die off, back rt foot (after severe abscess in back rt hip threatened amputate) Vet removed dead, new skin growth underneath. This left atleast 50% of exposed flesh, the other has new skin growth. Antibiocs & cleaning w/chlorhexidine 2xs a day.(metacam 1x day for 2 day.)With cleaning and limited mobility still seems impossible to keep clean, constantly finding dirt/debris, misc stuck to raw skin. Sweetie has been tearing in one eye on and off. I came upon a pet product callrd optixcare eye wipes for cats and dogs. Is this a good product to use to clean her eye.
My dog has problems with her eyes quite regularly and I have found that using Vetericyn Plus Antimicrobial Ophthalmic Gel whenever she has it gets rid of it within a few days. I apply it three times a day and keep her cone on to prevent her from itching it. Although this time it seems to not Ben working like it usually has in the past. So I’m worried it’s something more serious or I’ll have to get something else for her. Can’t afford to take her to vet till Monday. So hoping for answers here.
