What are the stuff I need for a complete Rabbit first Aid kit?
I would like to make a first aid kit for my cat and I would like to know what brands and items are good and effective?
My cat got an anal sac abscess which ruptured. I was able to spray it out pretty well with Bactine spray for the time being. I called every vet in the area and no one has availability for at least a week and I don't have the funds to go to an emergency vet. I have a sterile syringe that I plan to use to flush with chlorhexidine and/or povidone–iodine. Which would be better (or both)? Since I obviously can't get Panalog, would a triple-antibiotic be effective to apply into it afterward?
My dog ripped his nail off. Bleeding is stopped but it's broke right down to his hair and his quik is very exposed. Idon't have much antibiotics to wrap it up till tomorrow. But I have something called woun'dres - collagen hydrogel wound dressing. And another thing called iodosorb- cadexomer iodine ointment. Can i use ether for the night?Should I even wrap it?
The vet gave Dahlia Synotic 8 ml and TriOtic ointment 15g. First how do you use for her feet and how safe are they because she licks her feet constantly
Can I keep an emergency kit for my rabbits so that in case of emergency I can help specialy at night or gi stasis if vet is not available? Can you advise on this what kind of medicines I can keep?
Infections bleeding wounds in bith hind legs
He had abcesse that popped and now discharge in eye and a small wound on back. Can I apply tarramycin to his eye?
Taffy seems to have a serious hot spot on her butt area and it has a wound. It has stopped bleeding but we are looking to confirm it and treat it to prevent possible infection and to cure the hot spot if it is one. Thanks!
Hello i have a 20 TB horse that has heat in her back feet. And is resting them alot and coming up lame after everything workout. Any ideas why
Hello, My two 60 pound dogs got in a fight. I was looking for some advice on whether or not this wound needs closure. It happened 20 min ago and the bleeding has stopped pooling. It’s weeping a bit now. It’s been flushed, cleaned, and light topical bacitracin applied. I’m a combat medic with supplies and (human head wound experience) if I were in a dirty field environment like a dog plays, I would put two sutures or staples on either side. Would you recommend the same for a dog?
What’s the best way to treat the cut on my dog’s paw? We’ve been spraying it with the skin spray (pictured), bandages and wraps and doing our best to keep him from licking it. The inflatable donut was ineffective so we’ll pick up a cone today. Thanks in advance!
