The Crested Gecko is also known as the New Caledonian Gecko, or even an Eyelash Gecko due to its pronounced ridges that mimic eyelashes. This arboreal lizard was once though to be extinct, but it wasn't until the early 1990's that a breeding group was imported into the United States. These animals are easy to keep and breed easily in captivity. Selective breeding has introduced a wide variety of colors, patterns, and markings making this one of the most popular reptiles available today.

Are crested geckos good beginner reptile?
What morph is my leopard gecko?
Based on the pictures provided, what morph is my crested gecko? Thanks for answering all my questions! I want to lean everything I can about my crestie :)
Is my Gecko healthy?
I have a gargoyle gecko all OK last two years but very recently lost weight to point I can see his ribs, his legs and feet are weak. Has wood chip substrate Cork board walls hollow logs and branches. He eats phelsuma mix and locusts mist once day or every other. Approx 25c with heat mat which is turned off at night.
I have a crested gecko and he has been very lethargic lately. He's not eating, not climbing, and spending most of his time on the ground.
Hello! How can I tell if my crested gecko is egg bownd? Lyra has been eating TONS of insects, so it could just be she is getting thicker, but I am not positive. Also, how big does my crested gecko have to be to be able to carry eggs? (I have not been breeding her, but I have heard they can have eggs anyway) also, is there any chance that baby created could come from the eggs? If so, how do I incubate them, and at what tempature, humidity, etc.
How do I know if my baby created gecko is comfortable with me holding him? Also, is it normal if I put my gecko in his cage, he'll move to his favorite hiding spot, and stay there until I hold him again? One last thing, based on the pictures I send, how old would you say my crestie is?
Hi there. So I am looking into getting a heat dome for my crested gecko. I know they don’t have to have a heat lam but I want him to have a UVB bulb Because it’s good for them. But I am not quite sure that type to get. Any suggestions? I was looking at petco’s tropical combo pack. He lives in a 10 g. With live plant. (I will upgrade when he is bigger) also do you know an age on him? I got him 3 months ago from petsmart. I could tell he was a male a week after I got him. (Pic from yesterday)
Hi! I just got a crested gecko. She’s 9 grams and seems a little skinny for her length. She just shed and has been eating fine. However she has a little bit of brown at the very back of her mouth and I’m worried it might be mouth rot. I’ve had snakes and tarantulas and chameleons. Never a gecko. So I don’t know if this is worth driving and hour to a vet and paying hundreds to find out.
I have a crested gecko and I’ve had him for about a month now and he’s still very jumpy . He won’t let me pick him up and when I put my hand in the cage to see if he will climb onto it he has no reaction or will scram away into the plants . I was wondering if there’s anything I can do to get him to calm down so I could pick him up because I’m scared of trying to pick him up and he just jumps right out of the cage or drops his tail . Any advice on how to handle a hyper crested gecko?
how will my crested gecko find his food? Is there any way to know the age of the crested gecko? I dont know if this is normal: my crested gecko will flick her toung out about every 30 seconds (not consistantly. just an estamint. cuz sometimes she doesnt do it but once for 15 mins.) Sorry, one last thing.. how often and long should i hold my crestie? she is about half size of a full grown, maybe slightly smaller stoumach wise. Thanks so much for your help! (can i ask tons of qs in 1 message?)
