Angelfish come in a large array of colors, patterns and sizes that make them very appealing to all levels of hobbyists. The Cortez Angels are very hardy and will do quite well in the home aquarium as long as they have sufficient space and a balanced diet. They generally feed on a wide variety of algae, sponges, soft corals and other organisms, which is why they are not recommended for reef aquariums. Full grown adults of this angel will need around 250 gallons; however, you can get away with smaller aquariums when they are juveniles. Like most large angelfish the Cortez will go through a complete transformation from juvenile to adult. As a juvenile, they are mostly black with alternating yellow and neon blue semi-circle and spots on their caudal tail. As an adult their coloration goes to a greyish tan with two thick yellow stripes towards their face.

ACCLIMATION: Avoid exposing new aquatic life to bright lights after opening the box. Turn off aquarium lights prior to floating aquatic life. Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. A bacteria booster addition can assist with the addition of new aquatic life. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe for the addition of new aquatic life. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried and frozen foods, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller aquariums.

What type of saltwater fish can I have in a 10 gallon tank
Hello! I'm looking to add some additional fish to my 36 gallon reef tank. So far, I have an orange firefish, 2 ocellaris clowns, a fire shrimp, a peppermint shrimp, and 4 blue legged hermit crabs. Do you have any recommendations other than damsels?
I have an angelfish and a red tail shark in a 15 gallon tank for about 4 days and they get along great. The angel fish has been almost swimming kind of lazy like almost floating and then will swim when off balance. And belly kinda looks swollen as well as eyes. And my red tail shark seems to have a gray patch on it's side and not swimming as active as he was. Either hides in the back of tank or in a house for hours.
I have a flower horn fish 2 years old, very healthy until now. Decided to give him live fish, I believe this how he got ill. He does not have a hole yet, but he defently has the disease. Big white spot on his head and a small one on the side of his head. Pls tell, me what to do. Tel- 201-736-3049/ email- tgutie0556 gmail.com

Hi there, I'm not sure if this website applies to fish, but I don't have anyone in my area that can help. I have a gold nugget pleco and he eats veggies and driftwood all the time, has a large 55 gallon tank to himself and he has normal catfish habits-sleep during day, up at night. Anyways he was a beautiful black and gold but now his colour is fading... I looked it up and it means death (but he's eating and still very alive...). Is there anything you know about why else the colour could go?
