The Corazon Damsel is unique, hardy, and uncommonly seen. They are a relatively new species that was recently officially described in the aquarium trade. Its body has a pearly white coloration with black spots and fins. Their vibrant, blue-lined dorsal fin will stand out against any other damsel in the aquarium. This semi-aggressive fish adapts quickly to a new aquarium setting and is very hardy. Provide ample amounts of decorations and live rock to allow this fish to hide and swim through. Their diet should consist of vitamin enriched meaty foods and flake/pellet foods for marine fish. Be careful with which tank mates you provide with this damsel because they are known to be territorial and aggressive. They have an adult size of only 2" and can be added in groups of odd numbers simultaneously. In the wild, they are found in reefs up to 20 meters deep around Madagascar.

ACCLIMATION: Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. For new aquariums, adding new fish slowly helps to properly develop the nitrogen cycle, which creates a safe environment for your aquatic pets. A bacteria booster may also help develop a new aquarium for your new fish. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried, and frozen food, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller, unfiltered aquariums.
