Water traveling through the revolutionary "Turbo-Twist" flow design is exposed to three times more germicidal UV light than in conventional UV sterilizers. Will this work on the brown diatoms that attach to the glass of aquarium?
- This is a UVC Filter, meaning that the UVC light has to make contact with particles suspended in the water column. If the “target” is not suspended within the water column where it can be passed through the pump systems for your tank’s filtration system(s), then it cannot affect your “target”. More directly: if your problem is attached to the glass or other substrate, no. It may prevent new issues from generating as any floating material that can be pushed through the sterilizer will be rendered inert (fracturing the DNA), however; it cannot affect anything not suspended in the water column.

- Hey there, Ed! The TT 3X will handle up to 125 gal, the 6X up to 250 gal and the 12X up to 500 gal aquariums.

I just purchased this unit what size pump should I purchase?
- Coralife Turbo Twist 6X; requires a powerhead or inline filtration system that can provide approximately 200 to 400 gph of flow rate. The lower the flow rate the better with UVC systems as it allows for longer “dwell times” for the floating particles you are trying to target (algae spores, parasites, viruses & bacteria).

Is it safe to buy a UV Sterilizer Green killer filter for my turtles? The water gets dirty really fast and I've pretty much tried everything, but the algae keeps growing fast. The problem is that I've seen a lot of negative reviews on that filter, saying that it got their fish killed. Now, I've done some research on that and found out that that UV lights could damage both animals and humans, however the very few reviews that were written by turtle owners were positive. Is it totally safe?

I have recently used medication in my 50 gal freshwater fish tank with one 22 year old comet goldfish in it . the meds cured my fish but must have killed my beneficial Bacteria as now my established tank has been going through another nitrogen cycle. It's been four weeks now the ammonia us back to zero so is nitrite zero BUT my nitrates are now spiked about 80 and the water is cloudy. Did 2 partial water changes over the last 8 days. Hi, Got a marine fish tank 120L. The blue tang got white ich a week back and it died and post that within a week all the other fishes died. Had a pair of clowns and various damsels. Now with no fishes in the tank, what should I do next? I plan to get the water tested and plan not to add any new fish till 2-3 months? Anything that needs to be done during this phase?
