Hello, I have a 7 year old black lab. He's a big boy who gets very hot in warm weather so likes to lie on the coolest surface he can find which is always hard. Consequently, he has callouses on his elbows but they have become a lot bigger this year and one of them looks sore. I just wondered what Ii could do to alleviate this problem. My dog ate carpet foam
Watering eyes. Itching, hair has come out. Top of tail and down some. Thought mites. Put olive oil -had relief. Dogfood is Tasty Nuggets. Was having rawhide- and purina beggins. Pet Pantry said flea allergin maybe. Owner car wreck gone 7th month- gave. Stopped rawhide & was going to get new dogfood. Have insurance - but not outright . Used borax and peroxide rinse - said for relief mites or itch & gave relief- said once week.
My dog had the cover of his toenail removed 3 weeks ago exposing the quick. His doctor is on vacation until Monday. I change his dressing 2 to 3 times a day and use Hibitane cream to help the healing. He also had three small fractures in his paw there were removed. My question is should I keep changing the dressing and putting the cream on until I hear back from my doctor on January 7 Or should I keep the quick exposed to the air while he’s in the house?
