Cockatiels are easy birds to care for, making them a desirable pet. Their endless affection facilitates their natural ability to bond with their pet parents. Playpens are a great way to allow them to interact with you outside of their habitat!

A well-balanced Cockatiel diet consists of specialized pellets (should make up 60 to 70% of diet), plus fresh vegetables, fruits and small amounts of fortified seeds. Fresh food and water should always be available. Vegetables and fruits not eaten within a few hours should be discarded.
Avoid non-stick cookware and appliances, as well as cleaning agents, as they can release fumes hazardous to your bird's health.

Can i put my female cockatiel in with a female cockatoo
Hi there, I have a pair of Cockatiel, in which one seems to be normal and the other one has a small patch on the head below the raised yellow feather on the head, where there is no hair, is that normal and sometimes it keeps his head back on feathers with eyes open.
Cockatiel's wings tucked between the legs. Gets in the way and falls
Hi. Yesterday I got a female cockatiel, around 4 or 5 months old, she has a bad digit, as she has difficulty walking and climbing, plus her poop looks bad to (mostly diarrhoea) and she is not very active either. She is very friendly and easy to handle, but I’m keeping her away from my other birds just in case she has some sort of illness. My vet is closed due to corona virus, and there aren’t any other avian vets around me, which is why I am relaying on an online advice. Thank you

Injury on cockatiel head
My cockatiel seems to be sleeping a lot. She is still a baby (probably around 11 weeks old), and was fed on pellets and millet. I'm not home for 5-8 hours a day, so I don't really see her eat or drink, save for when I've seen her eat millet a few times. She isn't any less social, and prefers to spend her time on my shoulder, even when sleeping, so she hasn't gotten aggressive or fearful.
My cockatiel is usually sleeping and has a broken wing. I don't know whether or not she is sick. She has a bald spot on the top of her head but I figured it had been my parakeets that picked at her since it is an odd spot she can't reach.
I recently purchased a young cockatiels (old enough to be able to eat by itself and has feathers all over except for a little bald spot on the head) he is always fluffed up and has diarrhea but he is eating well and is very vocal. He also plays just a few times a day but is kind of always sleeping
