My dog ate a small rubber gem(toy) she's a smaller dog chihuahua mix not sure with what I bv think like terrier or something. The gem is about as big around as a quarter and like 1/4 inch thick maybe. What should I do?
My 10 pound Chi-Terrier mix has gone hoarse from barking too much. Is there something I can give him to soothe this? He will be 9 on Aug 24, and I do not want to take him to have surgery. Have a spunky new rescue chihuahua mix and she is skittish. So much so she will resist any efforts to trim her nails. We have 4 dogs so I have trimmed nails hundreds of times--but with Ricki Ricardo, no luck. I sit on the floor and flip them over and cradle them between my legs. My wife distracts them with peanut butter on a spoon. Besides going to a groomer or vet, any ideas? I thought maybe a groomer table might help. Are there premium nail cutters of higher quality than store bought?

Puppy been eating 1/2 his meals (normal meal consists of 1/3 cup kibble) over the last 3 days. Has had high activity including a 4 mile run one day, 2 mile walk another and 5 mile walk today. Been supplementing by placing portion of meal in challenge toy. Shows no signs of behavioral changes and remains very active/playful. Sleeping a bit more...but we expect that d/t his ^ activity. Should we be concerned about anything? Switching the puppy food (purina pro plan chick/rice) to dog food?
