When purchased I didn't realize the item didn't come with the vermiculite or seeds required to actually be able to grow something.

I had to throw this away yesterday. It was good for a couple weeks but I noticed it smelling foul whenever I watered it. Yesterday when I watered it it smelled so strongly of manure that I had to immediately bag it and take to the dumpster. I only watered every few days because of the smell. The grass was actually starting to die due to my aversion to watering it. My cat loved it but the smell is a deal breaker for me. Disgusting!

I tried this, ended up with like three blades of grass and the rest started to mold. very little instructions or guidance, honestly just throw your money in the trash it'll save you aggravation.

Both our cats love it! I had to move it so they couldn’t get to it just to give it a chance to grow. They wanted to nom that grass as soon as it started sprouting lol

This came with no instructions and there aren't any on this page either, so I had to just assume I knew what I was doing. Growing grass isn't common sense I guess! Instructions would be helpful including how often to water, etc.

This kit says everywhere on the description and product image that it DOES NOT INCLUDE the cat grass seed kit, and that you must buy it separately. However, they have updated the product to actually include everything now including the seeds! That's a good thing except for the fact the inaccurate description lead me to buy the 3 pack of grass seeds that I ended up not needing. Also, the green grid cover does not lock securely in any way! My 8 month old kitten immediately went to it, popped off the top with ease, and proceeded to chow down on the seeds and planting material. We had to move it to a locked room to grow, but I'm betting the green grid top will likely pop off again when the cat grass actually starts to grow and pushes up on it. It really needs some side locking clamps.

This was sure a hit although it didn't come with the soil and seeds. I did purchase them and they germinated in a few days. The kitties are awaiting spring so I can plant more

Just bought this. I missed that it did not include seed and growing medium. May not have purchased at the price had I seen it did not include these items. It purchase growing medium and seed kits it is an additional $10.00. Would not recommend to a friend at this price.
