Not for a Playful Cat
I bought this for my grand kitten. He knocked it over several times spilling the water everywhere. I had to adhere it to a cookie tray so he couldn’t knock it over. Then he started standing on it and knocking the top part off of the base so I gave up. Big waste of money.

Love this fountain.
We've had this fountain now for over half a year and our cats love it. I have had no issues with the pump or water going bad. This of course requires maintenance by changing the water every other day, or more or less depending on the number of cats. We have 7. Every evening I check the water level, don't wait for the red light to come on, and change the water every other day. I did this change of water every day when we used a bowl of water. It works as described and our cats love it. 😸

Look elsewhere
I don’t know where to begin with how much I detest this fountain. It’s an aggravation to clean. The filters leak a black substance into the water. A substance I can only presume is charcoal. And I hear a constant drip, drip, drip whenever the fountain is plugged in.

Great Fountain Terrible Motor
Crazy, purchased this and cat does drink out of it. Didnt even last 6months and the motor gave out. Was working unplugged it to do its regular cleaning and dint work again. But wait you can buy another for half of the cost of the fountain…

Ingenious Design
With the addition of a cat, we felt we should also add a new water source. The pixie fountain is outstanding and all of our cats love it! Sometimes there is even a line to access it😻😻😻😻

Life saver
I love this fountain. The best feature for me is the auto turn off. I can't tell you how many motors I have had to purchase.

The quality is just not there for the pump
I've had my Pixi fountain for just over a year, and have gone through three total pumps; the third just failed today. They simply do not stand the test of time. It's a shame because my cat has definitely loved using the fountain.

Hello Jonathan, we're sorry to hear about your experience with the pump on your Pixi fountain. Have you removed the impeller from the motor unit to check the well area and make sure there isn't any debris that could be causing the impeller to not spin correctly? If there is debris or slime in the well area, the magnetic impeller cannot make a connection to the motor unit and will prevent it from spinning. If you have not done so, please remove the impeller from the motor and rinse it off. Clean out inside the motor with a small brush or Q-Tip, then rinse out the motor unit as well. Place the impeller back in the motor and plug it in briefly to ensure the impeller is spinning before re-assembling the unit.
