Heidi and Ginger love the low salt chicken broth over their Diamond Naturals dog food. It doesn't take much to soften their food. I understand Chihuahuas need to have food down more often than large dogs. Will twice a day for both dogs not to exceed the number of suggested calories for Ginger be sufficient? Is the dog food I bought for adults or puppies? It’s very confusing because on the front of the box it says “100% complete and balanced food for adult dogs” but on the back it says “can be fed from 8 weeks onwards” also it’s dry food and my dogs won’t eat it unless I soak it in human gravy is this ok?

Is it ok to do this or will it harm him? I don’t think it’s many calories except maybe some fat from the chicken skin.

This is Kyro, my 1st dog I've had for 7 months. In 7 months he went from 75lbs to 85. Was feeding 2 cups twice daily of "Diamond All Natural Beef Meal & Rice" with piece of Roast Beef with a teaspoon of some kind of gravy & 1 Milkbone, 1 bully stick, 2 Grain fee treats daily. I cut back to 1 cup with Roast beef twice daily. I don't want to starve him but I want to keep his defined stomach. He won't eat unless the Roast beef & gravy is in his food. Bag of food says 4 cups daily. Any suggestions?
