Give your aquarium the visual appeal and biological performance of live rock, without any impact on the world's coral reefs. Life Rock by CaribSea is the ecologically responsible (and budget conscious) alternative to wild live rock. It is made from aragonitic base rock similar in composition to real live rock. Life Rock is color matched to real coralline algae right out of the box. You get the deep-toned, mature look without having to wait for real coralline algae to colonize. Life Rock requires no cement or curing and will not cause pH spikes. This unique base rock offers extensive macro and microporosity infused with spored bacteria to encourage beneficial bacteria to colonize on the rock as soon as you place it into your aquarium. Arrives dry, very clean, and is safe for all fish and invertebrates. Great for any saltwater aquarium setup. Lengths range from 5.5" to 9".

Currently I am using calcium sand. It doesn’t seem to be effecting Ash at all. Should I continue to use the sand or get something else such as eco earth?
What is the safest way to treat Driftwood and large rocks for safe use in aquarium if I find something I really like in the outside world if possible
Rust colored algae in both of my 10 gallon tanks after switching from gravel to sand substrate. What can I do?
Can you use sand from the beach to add to your freshwater aquarium, if its sanitize?
I recently got some hermit crabs. The nearest pet store to me is an hour away so I made a visit to purchase supplies. But I didn't get as much substrate as I needed, unfortunately. I was planning to go and get more when I had the chance. But I believe my largest crab is molting, it's trying to dig underground but there's not yet enough substrate for him to really bury himself yet. I know you should not bother a molting crab, but if I buy more substrate should I put it in there with him or wait
I have a fancy bearded dragon that is almost one now. When I first purchased him we got a 10 gal tank and he seems to be getting bigger. Do you think if I purchase a 40 gal tank he’ll be set for a year or two? Thank you.
I got my vanilla lobster home yesterday and the first thing I noticed was that he was raising his tail sharply and almost stumbling around. I woke this morning and he was on his side. It's a 55 gallon tank and has only been established about two days but we used the instant start bacteria treatment and the rest of the tetras, bichir, parrot fish are doing ok. Any thoughts?

first of all, thanks for your advice with my african dwarf frogs! after the aquarium salt bath they are doing great and even look more vibrant now! i was wanting to know what substrate would be best in the tank. would sand be okay or would they eat that like the gravel? i have a heavily planted aquarium and need something to keep the plants in place but i dont want my frogs to eat it and have something happen to them. i find conflicting information when i research it online. thanks!
