[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our min pin LOVED the Candidae lamb and brown rice food. She is notoriously a picky eater, but absolutely devoured each scoop. Packaging was easy to open and reseal which is always a plus!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been really happy with this Canidae Pure Farm to Bowl Lamb & Brown Rice recipe. The ingredients feel high quality, and my dogs tolerate it well with no stomach issues. It’s a great option if your dog needs a limited-ingredient food, and they actually enjoy eating it. I appreciate knowing where the ingredients come from and feel good feeding this to my pets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dogs loved the food. It is medium sized pellets. My dogs seemed to really like it and they are super picky eaters. The bag i got was just a small bag. But for a good price I would consider switching to the canidae.

Jiggy Approved

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As with all members of the family, I do my research to ensure Jiggy gets the healthiest food options. Canidae Pure Farm To Bowl Pasture-Raised Lamb And Brown Rice kibble is a great option that is easily accessible and wallet friendly. The 1st ingredient listed is pasture raised Lamb, followed by just a few other ingredients that are all good and healthy. None of the junk like corn, soy, artificial colors, wheat or preservatives. It's made in smaller batches right here in the USA, which let's me know it's met high standards and has been fully tested ensuring it's packed full of nutrients and safe. I also love that Canidea is eco-conscience and sustainability is important to them as much as it is to me. I feel good feeding this to Jiggy and he loves it. He's had no tummy issues during the switch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The appearance was small kibble bites. The value is good for the size of the bag. Durability on the bag is strong. The effectiveness of the food was good. My dog seemed to enjoy it. Preparation was easy just poured it in the bowl and ready to eat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dogs loved this! They went to each other's bowls looking for more. I love the ingredients for the dogs. The bag was small, but im sure you can get different sizes. I have 2 giant dogs, so this small bag will only last maybe 1 week. The appearance of the bag is eye catching.

Dogs love them

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog loved them as soon as I opened the keep fresh storage container she could smell the chews. They were moist to the touch. She would do any trick just to get one. The batch came with enough chews to last my dogs size for a little over a month even given to everyday but if I wanted to skip days I could this product has an expiration of 3 years so if I forget I’ll have plenty of time to make it up to her. Will definitely be buying in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dogs absolutely LOVED this food! I have two dogs and they immediately started eating it when I put it out; they even started growling at each other because they didn’t want to share haha. The size of the food was great for my dogs and was very easy for them to eat. I didn’t notice any bad changes in their digestion and they really seemed to enjoy it.

Questions

1 - 3 of 3 Questions

Why did the first two ingrediants change from the 4 pound bag to the 26 pound bag? The small one has lamb and turkey meal and the big bag has lamb and goat meal

  1. I don’t know why, but if your dog is allergic to chicken (poultry)  and/or chicken by products, you may want to give your dog lamb and/or goat. A lot of dogs nowadays are allergic to these two, maybe that’s why there is a higher demand for lamb and goat to be in the bigger bags.

How much do I feed a large breed? Is it better to feed a large breed a food that states it is for large breed?

  1. I have an 8 year old Goldendoodle who is a picky eater. Every morning I give him a cup of Canidae pure rice and lamb with brown rice, a little water and add 1/4 # of cooked ground beef too it because he needs the extra fat from the ground beef, helps his itchy skin. Also he does not over eat so I leave a bowl of Canidae dry dog food down all the time, sometimes he nibbles at it during the day. VET says O'Rirly is a healthy 70 pounds and maintains his weight well on this Brand so we will continue using

Calories per cup?

  1. 385. I called Canidae and asked because I wanted to know the same information.
