Senior and less active dogs may be fed a reduced amount, depending on the dog's weight and activity level. Questions
Why did the first two ingrediants change from the 4 pound bag to the 26 pound bag? The small one has lamb and turkey meal and the big bag has lamb and goat meal
- I don’t know why, but if your dog is allergic to chicken (poultry) and/or chicken by products, you may want to give your dog lamb and/or goat. A lot of dogs nowadays are allergic to these two, maybe that’s why there is a higher demand for lamb and goat to be in the bigger bags.

How much do I feed a large breed? Is it better to feed a large breed a food that states it is for large breed?
- I have an 8 year old Goldendoodle who is a picky eater. Every morning I give him a cup of Canidae pure rice and lamb with brown rice, a little water and add 1/4 # of cooked ground beef too it because he needs the extra fat from the ground beef, helps his itchy skin. Also he does not over eat so I leave a bowl of Canidae dry dog food down all the time, sometimes he nibbles at it during the day. VET says O'Rirly is a healthy 70 pounds and maintains his weight well on this Brand so we will continue using
