why is this dog food recognized by the AAFCO?
- I am not sure but this is the information I found when researching this question: The Canidae company takes great pride in the fact that their ingredients all come from human grade high quality proteins, fruits, and vegetables and all of their premium-quality dog food formulas are made here in the United States at USDA, FDA, and AAFCO-approved facilities

Where is the expiration date on the 24 lb bag?
- You have to look really hard on the back. Mine this time was in the bottom half on the dark blue color. Sometimes, just get a flash light and shine it around the bag to make the ink reflect and then it's easier to find. Hope this helps.
