I purchased the Canidae Pure Grain Free limited Ingredient Real Duck & Sweet Potato Dry Dog, 22lbs thru same day home delivery as member of Petco on 07/23/2025. The delivery driver was really outstanding in delivering my merchandise. The only problem here is that no one is checking the expiration date on all pet foods before re- stocking or rotating the merchandise for sale. I'm extremely happy that i was able to get my dog blue this food again which he likes a lot after switching foods. I would like to say thank you to the Totowa Petco staff member who helped me and apologized for the inconvenience on behalf of Petco. Please provide me with some future purchase discounts, Thank you! Billy

Check the expiration date BEFORE purchasing

I bought this dog food only to discover that the expiration date had come and gone. Extremely disappointing and I returned the food for a full refund. Going forward I will check the expiration date for freshness however doesn’t PetCo have a responsibility to take expired products off the shelf. Especially since this 24lbs of dog food retails at +$65-$70

my dog had problems with other foods and at some point wouldn't even eat, when i started giving him this one he starting being so happy during feeding time and all the stomach problems are gone.

She LOVES it!!! Before we opened the food she kept sniffing the bag to check it out, and when we opened it for the first time she danced like a little kid! This food didn't crumble like other Canidae Pure one with grain (not that my doggo cared anyway, she likes her kibbles non-discriminately), and the smell was awesome

A good food with meat ingredients but high legumes

Seems like good quality meat proteins however the inclusion of legumes is concerning. They are a cheaper ingredient and high in protein. Due to the amount of legumes in this food much of the protein is from the peas/lentils.

This is a review about Petco and their inventory not this dog food. I ordered the dog food to be delivered to my home. I'm not sure if it came directly from the Amarillo store of from the Petco warehouse but the bag was dated three weeks from expiring! I expect fresher products especially when I'm paying about $70 for a bag of dog food! Very disappointed in Petco!

Where is your Duck sourced from? Hopefully USA & not China, etc. Are they free range or caged? I'm concerned about certain countries & the contamination the animals are exposed to. Thank you.
