I buy this for my Frenchie that is allergic to most proteins, grains and other additives. Her digestive issues are minimal, she has a pretty coat and strong muscles. We used to give her Freshpet Salmon but supply shortages made us search for another food. This food has been much better for her.

For some reason my EP wanted nothing to do with this dog food. I tried several times. In fact I also have to give away a $72.00 bag of Canidae grain free Salmon and sweet potato dry food. She just doesn’t like this brand.

The quality is definitely there, and it's nice to have a fish formula that doesn't have other proteins (like chicken or beef) in it. But I'm not crazy about the tough consistency of it. It's a nitpick, I realize, but it's density makes it take a bit longer to parse out and I have to use my hands to push it off the spoon. Not a big deal, but in one instance in which I was rushing, I cut my finger on the inside of the can. So, I prefer the Blue brand, which has similar ingredients but is much softer and easier to get into their bowls. That said, it's good food and if my nitpicks don't bother you, go for it.

I had originally bought this product after a vet visit. The vet recommended that we find a food for her that was grain free and either made with fish or lamb since she might have an allergy to chicken. So we found this and bought it along with the dry food, and now she goes crazy over it! We've had our dog for 8 years and this is the first time she actually is eating a dog food and likes it! For years we've fed her boiled chicken, (which she ate but gave her the allergies) and other brands of dog food which she always turned her nose up to. She scratches less and her hair looks better. Since it apparently sells out in stores pretty fast, I'm happy to see they sell it online as well. Plus she thinks it's absolutely tasty :) So happy I've found this product.
