Pup loves this for lunch, and helped him when we transitioned from the kennel to his fur-ever home. He loves it as a training treat, as breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Questions

Does this food contain a good source of Thiamine? I’ve recently read grain free diets are causing Beri Beri disease to become more prevalent in dogs since they are lacking a source of that amino acid commonly found in grains.

My dog we just found out has trouble eating the hard dry food. Is this food kind of softish texture wise? Thank you!

    1. This is a dry kibble and not a softish texture. You can portion out a feeding and add warm water to the kibble and leave for approximately 10 minutes and it will become soft. Please give us a call at 800-398-1600 ext 0 or support@canidae.com if you have any additional questions.

How is this limited ingredient when it contains more than just lamb?

    1. Here's what Canidae says: CANIDAE® Grain Free PURE formulas use simple recipes for sensitive dogs. Each limited ingredient diet is made with 7–10 key ingredients that are easily recognizable. And even if your dog isn’t sensitive to ingredients, they’ll still love the great taste. Choose from a variety of formulas made with real meat or fish first, paired with whole ingredients like sweet potatoes, peas, lentils, or chickpeas—never corn, wheat or soy. Works well for my Golden Retriever who has allergies to many ingredients in most foods. Although, with all the questions about grain free formulas, I have been mixing it with Purina One Lamb & Rice. I wouldn't feed a grain free, but for his issues.

My dog farts a lot and they smell bad should i be concerned... Since i changed from canidae puppy to canidae special ingredients i know he loves it but wondering if i should change to another canidae ....

    1. Thank you for your support and for your question. How much does your pup weigh and how much in cups is your pup eating per day? Please contact us at 800-398-1600 ext 0 or support@canidae.com so we can assist you with this. Thank you!
