I really like the cage, but I can’t put my bird in it yet because I have to keep sandpapering down sharp jagged edges. The first jagged edge I found was purely by mistake, just by pushing the cage aside and it cut my finger. So I went and ran my fingers through every centimeter if they cage, and there are so many sharp pointy edges from where the cage was welded together. I’ve spent almost $900 on a cage that I’m worried about using. I’ve gone over it a million times to find all of the sharp, jagged edges, and I just keep finding more. Sandpaper works, but it’s taking forever and now my brand new $900 cage is all scratched up.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I’ve now had this cage for over 5 years. It still is beautiful as the first day! I did buy the outside feeder shield/doors. I highly recommend buying them it makes feeding and water super easy and clean. The stainless is high shine and easy to wipe down, yes the rollers are cheap but I’ve been very careful with them. I really like the vertical bars in the front and back and horizontal bars on both sides. I added a piece of white plastic on the bottom shelf so I can place containers easier then trying to balance them on the wide spaced bars.

Yes, I recommend this product.

You don’t need a single tool to put this cage together! I might install some larger food/water containers because my bird is larger than a cockatiel.

We wanted to switch to a stainless steel cage but most were too expensive. This cage was priced right so we ordered it. Received it in about three days. Assembly was easy with clip together panels, no screws. Only problem was getting the top two curved sections to clip in. Had to use the two enclosed toy hangers to hold it together, but it worked fine. We have a Senegal in it and he seems to like it. Plenty of room for him.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought two sizes of the Caitec Featherland stainless steel cage. I also already owned a very large one of these cages. I have some conures that needed a stainless steel cage because they ate the powder coat off another cage. I also wanted external feeders so they wouldn't potty in the water so easily. The water dish is no longer a toilet. They can still make soup if they want to carry food all the way to the other side of the cage. They might take an almond over occasionally but pellet soup is no longer on the menu. Score! The cage is easy to put together and take apart. Getting this cage through a doorway is not an issue but if you were interested in buying a very large cage it could be a problem getting it through a doorway. These cages will never be a problem for any doorway because you can take the top off and fold and roll the cage anywhere. All these cages go together similarly. I am very happy with my purchases.

Yes, I recommend this product.

How does the latch manipulate?

    What is the INTERIOR height?

Can a red-fronted macaw  fit in the small cage

      1. Absolutely no. Way too small.

I have 2 stainless larger ones for my African greys (2) but I need a travel cage when I take them to a friends fmhouse for a week. Would this be too small for a week for 2 greys?

      1. I think it would be big enough for one grey but too small for two. Also it is not a travel cage. The cage and base are connected.

What is the bar spacing? Or largest gap in bars?

Hello, How does the door open? I do not see a mechanism. Is the Caitec Featherland Ellicit Manor Bird Cage large enough for an Eclectus Parrot? They are about the size of an African Grey.

I can’t believe the dimensions aren’t in the description! What are the dimensions pls?

          1. 18" L X 27" W X 56.5" H. It's in the title of the cage

Is this cage able to be assembled without the stand? I basically need this cage but as a tabletop version. Thank you!

          1. No. It's all one piece.

This cage looks big, can I put a yellow Naped Amazon in this cage

          1. I have his cage and LOVE it. I am not familiar with that type of bird. I have my cockatiel in this cage. It’s probably twice as big as a cockatiel needs but she’s super happy with more space. I would recommend getting the biggest cage you can afford that is also safe for our bird (I.e. appropriate bar spacing etc.)  A large bird would fit in the cage but would not have much room to move around. Hope that helps!

What are the internal dimensions (internal height, internal width, internal length) of the cage?
