My conure already got the almonds I put in one of the compartments. Simple wheel design is great fun for your bird and keeps the contents visible. Fully disassemblable for easy cleaning

Have purchased three types of foraging toys from this company. This one is too big, difficult to clean and wasteful on snacks. In my opinion, the better one “foraging wheel” at about the same cost is the better one and more challenging for the bird. I have a cockatoo.

This product shipped with a huge sticker the size of the entire face of the item. Naturally, half of it peeled off without a problem, and the other left the stickiest substance I've EVER seen in my life. No matter what I've tried, including nail polish remover, dishwashing, dish soap + scrubbing, rubbing alcohol, and countless other methods, I can't get the residue off. I can't give this product to my bird because he'll get stuck to it if he touches it. I've wasted so many hours trying to clean this item as it's a pretty pricy toy. In addition to the sticker, I noticed that the wheel itself is hard to turn and I feel like this would be a barrier to enjoyment for my bird. Complete waste of money. If you don't mind leaving the huge, unsightly sticker, it may not be a horrible foraging item if you get one that turns.

This may be fine for macaw, but it is much too stiff for a smaller bird (e.g. our 325 gram CAG). We actually got a replacement thinking it was one-off, but still not usable, and not adjustable. I see another one on this site that parrot friends have posted and were going to order now.

I have 2 conures, a Sun Conure and a Green Cheek Conure. They both absolutely love their new foraging wheel. My Sun Conure is somewhat on the destructive side and he hasn't been able to tear this one up. Keeps them busy, easy to clean, and would definitely recommend to anyone who is trying to find a "busy" toy that they can't tear up.

I like the idea of this but it is not made to last. Both of the plastic pieces that you screw the end caps on broke so now it is unusable. Maybe the smaller ones would be ok, but the weight of the giant one is too heavy and you cannot tighten the end caps tight enough before they break.

The glued label (not shown in the picture on line) on the front face of the device is a VERY difficult (impossible) thing to remove. I called and was told to soak it in vinegar or olive oil. Neither one worked very well. The residue of glue remained after several days of vinegar and two days of oil.

Toy is durable and VERY easy to disassemble (for cleaning) and attach to sides of any cage. Toy was for my Greys and they were able to figure out how to use it in under 30 minutes. We started by loading it with favorite treats as a motivator. Its not a daily toy. We switch it out once or twice a week. Looking to try the heart-shaped forager next. One issue we first encountered was in the adhesive packaging label on the wheel face. It was next to impossible to remove. It did not peel off without leaving a very sticky adhesive residue and needed a blow dryer, oil, and a lot of scrubbing to remove it. That left the wheel face all scratched and hazy. I contacted Caitec and they were happy to send a new part, although it did take some follow-up with them to receive the part.
