The Butterfly Pleco L-052 is a beautiful pleco that can be seen stuck against the glass all day cleaning off the algae. They are a very efficient algae eater and will actively clean the glass, which means less cleaning for you. Like most plecos, the Butterfly has a long-life span and can grow to be quite large so be sure they have enough space. Provide lots of hiding spaces to help reduce their stress especially while they are acclimating to their new environment. They prefer a planted aquarium with plenty of water movement and aeration. Even though they love eating algae, that cannot be their only food source, so provide a varied diet of algae wafers and meaty, sinking pellets.

ACCLIMATION: Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. For new aquariums, adding new fish slowly helps to properly develop the nitrogen cycle, which creates a safe environment for your aquatic pets. A bacteria booster may also help develop a new aquarium for your new fish. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried, and frozen food, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller, unfiltered aquariums.

Hi, I had a bettas fish and a clown pleco. A day after doing a complete cleaning of the tank, my better fish died and my pleco started acting weird. I tested the water. Ph 7, ammonia 0, nitrate 0, nitrite 0. He is not eating, his skin started to look like white, like shedding? And now is like coming off. Also, his belly is bloated. I attached pictures.
Hi, I bought 6 platy fish and a black corydora catfish about 2 weeks ago, all seem in good health bright colours and swimming round as normal they are in a 48l tank which the pet store said was a big enough tank for them all, but one of them seems to be loosing his scales or I’m afraid he may have itch but it dosent look like it I hope you can help, thanks.
Where can I get a brislenose pleco? Their are none for sale on the Petco website.
I dont know if you are a tropical fish specialist. But there is something going on in my tank and need help diagnosing it. My corydora has two raised growths ..one at the base of its fin. And one under the eye. My pleco seems a bit tattered too. A little flashing was happening with my yoyo loach also. That's now stopped after a water change.
I think my Lyretail Dalmatian molly has the swimmers bladder issue. I have videos that i could send or I can take pictures later. She stays near the top of the tank and seems to have trouble using her rear fin.
Hey so I have have 10 goldfish that are all about 10-20cm long (tail included) in a 6ft tank and Larry which is one of my Fish has a white patch on the side of him could you please tell me what this is and how to tear it please help Me I love him so much.☺️☺️☺️Ps hope you can see the white dot in the photo thank you
We just tranferred Joey from a 40 Gallon Tank to a new 90+ Gallon Terrain... He seemed to be pretty happy till today. We noticed right before we changed tanks that he had some dark coloration on his left side and tip of his tail.. He was shedding at the time so we figured it was part of it.. It has yet to go away, and today he seems VERY active, mostly attempting to climb the glass of the tank. I have attached a photo, Thank You in advance! ~Robert~
My new betta is coming up with silvery spots behind gill slits and underneath mouth. His water also seems to get clear algae growth rather quickly (3days) on the surface. I would love to be able to send pictures. My first betta
I’m getting a 20 gallln tank and I would like to know what are the best tropical freshwater fish that I could get? I would like to get a pleco, but he would get to big for my tank, so I’m wondering if I could donate him to my locomotive petco in The Dalles Oregon? Thank you I love PetCoach!!!
My Cory catfish has developed a weird bubble on it’s gill and I can’t find any information about it
How to care Newly red wagtail platy and Mickey mouse platy fish in a 72 litre tank with any health problems ?
