I need your help here. I've been thinking to purchase a crate and a crate bed and crate cover for my little girl. Since she loves to nap under the table and I thought it'll be much safer and comfortable for her to sleep there from time to time. And safer from the friend's and families children from hurting her. Do you think this would be a good idea?
Will my ShiChon who is 15 long and 11 high fit in a airline soft sided carrier that is 17x11x11? Will she be comfortable as well? I’ve attached a picture of her in it. She climbed in herself.
I want to crate train my 1 year old dog. I bought a "medium" crate for her , shes 25 lbs - aussie/dashund mix so shes kind of long shaped. The measurments on the box are for a dog even taller/wider than mine... but the crate doesnt really seem big enough for her to turn around in (unless she kind of squirmed up into a circle). Do you think I need to buy a larger crate? Why does the size on the box say its good for the dog's size.. / ?
we have a 20 pound rat terrier mix in excellent health, not overweight. She is 11 yrs old and we were trying to fin d a carrier like a backpack to put her in for our long walks, when she gets tired. There are so many to choose from. I like the ones that we strap on the front of the human, and her legs stick out at the top and bottom just like a real baby. However I am concerned that the position might put too much pressure on her back end. What can you recommend?

I brought my 1.5 year old dog home today from the shelter. I am tired and want to get sleep. Is it okay to leave her in the crate with just a chew toy overnight? So far when I have put her in the crate she has clawed on the door trying to get out. I want to learn more about her personality before I let her sleep with me.

My dog, Asta, is a 6 year old Shiloh shepherd weighing in at about 100lbs. She's never had major health problems, is intact, and at a moderate activity level. Recently she started letting out a slight whine when I ask her to get on the couch or bed. This only started occurring in the last week or so, and she's never whined like that before when coming up on the furniture. She comes from extremely healthy bloodlines (+.99 PennHip ratings for both parents) and is negative for DM. Thoughts?
