My 6 month old puppy has separation anxiety. I have tried many things. He has so many accidents in the house and cage. He is a 50 pound boxer pitbull mix. I am getting him a smaller cage soon, he is in a XXL one. I tried calming chews and they did not help. I want to try CBD oil but am a little against it, but I don't want him on prescription medicines until absolutely necessary.
So my dog keeps peeing in her kennel. I have started making more frequent potty breaks and that has helped some. But she still has accidents about twice a week. So I have thought about getting her a smaller kennel. She is in a 42’’ wire kennel. She can lay in a ball in the corner of it and not take up much room. She is too tall for a smaller kennel. What should I do? Also she had had all her bloodwork done and nothing is wrong. She is 30’’ tall and 30’’ long.
I want to crate train my 1 year old dog. I bought a "medium" crate for her , shes 25 lbs - aussie/dashund mix so shes kind of long shaped. The measurments on the box are for a dog even taller/wider than mine... but the crate doesnt really seem big enough for her to turn around in (unless she kind of squirmed up into a circle). Do you think I need to buy a larger crate? Why does the size on the box say its good for the dog's size.. / ?
I bought Duke a nice new dog bed. He likes it but pees on it daily. I’m assuming to mark it as his. It has a removable waterproof cover so I can just wash it. But washing it daily isn’t always an option. Other than just washing it daily is there anything I can do?
My pup was diagnosed with IVDD 2 days ago. 50% chance of walking again. She hasnt wanted to eat and shes taking meds. She was moving nonstop last night whcih led me to laying her down but she resisted. I dont want to hurt her. Wht poition should she be layed down in. She pulls back her neck as much as possible. So I have a 3 year old bully pit, he is the sweetest dog ever and he has no problems chewing anything or getting into things... except our mattress. This is the second time he’s dug a hole in a mattress we get he may do it because he sleeps with us every night and it’s instinctual but is there anyway we can get him not to do it? We don’t want to have to keep him from sleeping with us thank you!
