Great food

My pigs love this food! They turn down everything else. I have skinny pigs( hairless pigs) that are prone to dry skin. They have amazing skin on this food.

Yes, I recommend this product.

It IS Loved!

My two Pigs absolutely love all the little goodies in here, well except for the mini hay bundles. I like to pick out the little rolled corn pieces to give to them while they wait for me to throw out their allotted daily handful. They delightfully forage through the Aspen shavings in their pen for quite some time (put in a non poopy place of course!) I'm So thankful for this brand's Guinea food for This allows for the foraging that pigs love to do!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Don’t buy this for your guinea pig.

I really wish I would have looked into this product a little more before purchasing it on a whim. It looked cool just based on the packaging. It is totally unsuitable for guinea pigs. So unsuitable that I’m not sure how it’s even on the market. First of all - it is extremely dusty!! Anyone who knows anything about guinea pigs knows that dusty hay/food is not good for their sensitive respiratory systems. This stuff is horribly dusty. Like, it would be irritating to humans to even open the bag. Secondly, there’s not much to this food. It’s mostly a bunch of dusty, low quality, short pieces of hay with a few pieces of pea flakes and dried flower mixed in. There are also some giant pellets mixed in that seem quite inappropriately sized, and some chunks of Timothy hay cubes that seem to be encased in plastic substance that looks anything but natural. I only bought it to use as a treat topper for my pigs regular food, and theres a much cheaper & healthier brand of forage that we’ll continue to buy. This stuff can go in the trash! It looks nothing like the picture advertises and it does not lead up to expectations. I don’t feel comfortable feeding it to my pigs obviously. Total waste of money. I reached out to the company with my concerns awhile back, but got no response. I add this review in hopes that it will keep anyone else from buying this low-quality product.

No, I do not recommend this product.

My guinea pigs LOVE this

I have been feeding both guinea pigs this food in addition to great quality hay. This is by far their absolute favorite food though! They get so excited when they hear the bag rustling. I was surprised about the other review, since my piggies love this so much. They don’t care for the big chunky compressed hay squares in it though. Other than that they devour this! I originally bought it since I have Celiac and didn’t want any wheat exposure.

Yes, I recommend this product.

NEVER never suitable for any guinea pig

This is not a good food for Guinea Pigs. Lost one after a major surgery attributed to a mass in the gastrointestinal tract. Our other pig is now refusing food and water (I originally assumed it was depression due to the loss of his companion) but now I must attribute it to this feed as the specialist veterinarian who performed surgery on the now deceased animal strongly advised against this type of “highly unnatural” diet (his words). Thought I was doing a good thing buying the more expensive grain free food but apparently this is a very unsuitable feed and digestively inappropriate formula for guinea pigs. PLEASE please please do not feed your pigs this food. Unless Petco is selling guinea pigs with predisposed genetic conditions, this should not happen. Bought the poor depressed dude a companion which has been living in a cage (also from petco) and they’ve been exposed to one another. Doesn’t seem to make a difference. This pig is sick and I’m devastated. We will have to put him down if he refuses to eat food or water as we’ve been feeding him via syringe for the last week. Just don’t even bother buying this food or even a pet from Petco. I suspect their “suppliers” aka breeders are breeding genetically unhealthy animals.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Good if supplemented with other food. They won't eat much if it's the only thing in the bowl.

Yes, I recommend this product.
