Introducing a New Food: Following this procedure should help prevent a digestive upset; it's best to acclimate your pet to a new food over a 10-day period. The first 3 days feed a mixture of 3/4 the current food and 1/4 Natural Behaviors. The next 3 days, feed a mixture of 1/2 the current food and 1/2 Natural Behaviors. The last 3 days, feed a mixture of 3/4 Natural Behaviors and 1/4 the current food. After 10 days you can supply only Natural Behaviors to your pet as its main diet. Recommended Daily Feeding Amounts: 90% Tropical Carnival Natural Behaviors. 10% fresh greens & fruit such as pineapple & papaya. For adult rabbits, additional fresh timothy hay or orchard grass hay should be available at all times. Supplement with alfalfa hay. Juvenile rabbits can be free fed alfalfa hay daily. My guinea pig blue passed a large poop today & when he did he squeaked. They have been eating OXBOW Timothy hay for a year now but the quality in the hay has changed & they stopped eating it they picked out the fuzzy pieces so they haven't been getting the amount of hay they should be for around 1 month, someone said try OXBOW orchard & he's been eating it like a "pig", could not really having hay-having hay & eating lots DO THIS? he only passed 1 big poop & only squeaked then , now all normal
My mom got my Fluff guinea pig from the store. It has stuff I don’t know what it is. It has peanuts with the shell to. My sister told me they can’t have the internet said they can but not to many. It has something I can’t identify. It’s pebbles are so much bigger than his other food and there is sunflower seeds. I would rather be safe than sorry. Are Guinea pigs able to have this stuff. The food Leave some sort of food dust on my hands.
A little while ago I bought a big bag of pellets for my guinea pigs, 10 lbs. Now there is still quite a bit left but the best by date says 05/15/2019, which is coming soon. Is it okay to still give them the pellets even after the best by date?
I switched my guinea pigs to Kaytee Lavender bedding. They both have food, hay, and water. Two bowls of food, two bottles of water, and two hay containers. They both seem to be chewing on the bedding and I'm worried. Should this be a concern? I'm worried about their digestive system from chewing on the bedding. My girl friend said her guinea does it too when she's bored, could this be why they are chewing it? They share a cage.
Hello I have 4 boy guinea pigs and I want ro know what the best bedding cause my oldest piggies hes coughs sometimes like he got something in his throat and money for the vet is expensive and I need to know where can I found a good place for piggies
I just read an article about sulcata tortoise care hoping to gain more information about what the best things to feed them are and saw that one of them is grass hay. Would that be the type of hay you normally feed guinea pigs?
How much victim c do guinea pig need a day ?
We're wondering if there's anything we can do to improve her diet. Right now she is eating pellets (Zupreem, converting to Zupreem naturals), seeds, and we offer veggies every day despite her never really finishing them. We're now grinding up a Tums onto the food every day, as she was egg bound recently. We get 30-60 mins of time outside a day when possible, for sunlight. Any suggestions, or does this look fine? Thanks.
My 4 yr old Male Guinea pig is eating well but has lost so much weight was a big chunky boy in 3 weeks hes tiny runny eyes but eating drinking well , he doesn't move unless for food
