Introducing a New Food: Following this procedure should help prevent a digestive upset; it's best to acclimate your pet to a new food over a 10-day period. The first 3 days feed a mixture of 3/4 the current food and 1/4 Natural Behaviors. The next 3 days, feed a mixture of 1/2 the current food and 1/2 Natural Behaviors. The last 3 days, feed a mixture of 3/4 Natural Behaviors and 1/4 the current food. After 10 days you can supply only Natural Behaviors to your pet as its main diet. Recommended Daily Feeding Amounts: 90% Tropical Carnival Natural Behaviors. 10% fresh greens & fruit such as pineapple & papaya. For adult rabbits, additional fresh timothy hay or orchard grass hay should be available at all times. Supplement with alfalfa hay. Juvenile rabbits can be free fed alfalfa hay daily. How to change to a New Guinea pig dry food with out upsetting there tummy’s
Is there a brand of food that dont contain the pellets, I've noticed that my guinea pig doesn't like eating the pellets in her food...she eats everything but the pellets & we end up throwing the pellets out so we refill her dish...we give her hay as well but I'm worried that she might not be getting enough food...she's not losing weight so far.
What hay is best for a guinea pig, and what amount of veggies should I feed per guinea pig? Thanks!
Which vegetables can help in increasing guinea pigs weight.???
I am in need of urinary grain free dog food for my pug,any naturals dog foods that fit that description?
So a buy a female guinea pig but she only wants to eat hay, I'm trying to give her salad like carrots and other cainds or dried food but she don't want it, she is 2 month old that's what they told me on petco
My 2 guinea pigs seem to be constantly hungry. I feed them the recommended cup of fresh vegetables, the 1/8 cup of pellets and some hay but before the end of the day they go crazy, crying and chewing and won't rest until they are fed again. Feeding that would usually consist of some additional hay or maybe some carrot. Am I doing something wrong or is it just their additional needs as they grow?
Hello, I was wondering what would be the best food for pet mice when they are fat. His current food is: Daily blend wild harvest, his previous food was: vita prima rat mouse and gerbil formula.
Im worried about my guinea pig, Tazo who I just got on July 1. I dont think he is eating enough vitamin C. I observed cage where he came from and noticed that he was only fed timothy hay, kaytees fortified daily pellets, and lettuce. He is brave enough to be hand fed by me. I tried had feeding him bell pepper but all he does is sniffs it and looks at me as if i am giving him a piece of cardboard to eat. Ive also tried putting it into a bowl and letting him eat it. Could you help me please?
Can Guinea pigs use grreat choice pine wood shavings? I see carefresh made a mixture of paper and wood shavings. I'm low on funds this week and I had bought and aired out (for 4 days) grreat choice pine wood for my hamsters. But as I said I'm low on funds and was wondering if just this week I could use the pine wood? I don't want to harm my piggies in anyway.
My mom got my Fluff guinea pig from the store. It has stuff I don’t know what it is. It has peanuts with the shell to. My sister told me they can’t have the internet said they can but not to many. It has something I can’t identify. It’s pebbles are so much bigger than his other food and there is sunflower seeds. I would rather be safe than sorry. Are Guinea pigs able to have this stuff. The food Leave some sort of food dust on my hands.
I switched my guinea pigs to Kaytee Lavender bedding. They both have food, hay, and water. Two bowls of food, two bottles of water, and two hay containers. They both seem to be chewing on the bedding and I'm worried. Should this be a concern? I'm worried about their digestive system from chewing on the bedding. My girl friend said her guinea does it too when she's bored, could this be why they are chewing it? They share a cage.
