Compatible with Fluorescent Strip Light?

  1. Thank you for your question. Yes, an 18" T8 bulb will fit into a fixture that accepts T8 bulbs that is 18" long.

Will 2 of these lights work on a 120v ballast?

  1. Thank you for your question. As long as you light assembly is designed for T-8 bulbs, this bulb should work.

I have a GLO lite with 2 bulbs, why does it just blink with only one bulb in it?

  1. The ballast is designed for two bulbs. I think that if you do manage to get it to work with one you will burn out that one quickly. That's why if one florescent bulb goes out in a dual fixture you should replace it very soon.

Light bulb was extremely hard to fit into fixture

  1. Thank you for your question. The manufacturer states that there has not been a change. If you could please contact customer service at customerservice@drsfostersmith.com or 1-800-381-7179, we would be happy to replace the bulbs that were flawed.

Where is the 36" bulb on the "add to shopping cart" list?

  1. Thank you for your question. We apologize; this bulb is currently not available in the 36" size. ajl

what is the best: 18000k or 6700k aquarium bulbs?

  1. Thank you for your question. The best bulb would be a personal preference. The 6700K bulbs emits a natural white light that penetrates deep into aquariums, meeting the needs of fish and stimulating plant photosynthesis and would be great for both fresh or saltwater aquariums. The 18000K bulbs enhance blue, red, and orange pigments to bring out the full beauty of your aquarium inhabitants. Promotes healthy plant growth and are ideal for freshwater and planted aquariums. tmb
