I want to try Training Sarah to retrieve Birds. How can I test if Sarah has an instinctive soft mouth? (50 lbs lab mix) if she doesn't have it can I train it?
What is the best brand for training treats for my dog?
Collar training My 14 week papillon is tiny just over 2lbs. The smallest harness does not fit. I began collar and leash during potty pad time, then keeping on and off for periods yesterday. Of course she bites and plays with the leash, causing it to be more of a potty training distraction than tool. The collar, right sized no dangles made of nylon, seems to irritate her skin. She itches it constantly. Is this hurting her skin or part of getting used to the collar?
This is Dexter, my gorgeous 7 year old rescued hound, & his 4 year old ball. He loves his ball & can find it anywhere we hide it in the house or yard. 2nd picture is his new ball. It squeaks like his old ball & smells like bacon. He seemed to like new ball & we played inside for a couple hours off & on. I am planning to TRY to train Sarah to retrieve dove for my boyfriend. I realize her instinct may not be strong enough being a mixed breed. My question involves gun training her. She is not storm shy however we have no ranges nearby that allow dogs. What tips do you have both for gun training and retrieving in general? So we are going to use a remote collar to train the puppy to never chew the chainlink fence she doesn’t do it often . A trainer on YouTube Solidk9 training recommended. I think it’s better to have a mild stem correction than broken teeth one day. Also going to use to work on her recall she is 80% reliable everywhere but backyard that’s 10% she comes back. What brands on amazon are good? And how do I condition her to the collar?
