Hello my cat is an inside and out cat, I live in Florida. I have two litter boxes for him it is a clumping brand so it's an easy clean up, he has no problem using them. the question is the box I have put outside is clumping with out my cat using it, and when it does start to clump he doesn't use the one out side.... but still uses the box with the same litter inside. Which litter should I use out side?
Hey there! I've got a large Ragdoll (we think) cat that is roughly 10 years old who stopped using his litterbox for anything other than urine starting about 6 weeks ago. Always at night, when we're asleep, usually every 2-4 days, he goes on a binge poop, dropping of "presents" (ranging from hard/dry to wet/soft) on our front porch mat, my office rug, the hardwood floors along a wall, by the litterbox, on the rug by his feeder. No changes to clean litter situation or diet in over a year.
After my cat uses the litter box, he paws down the sides of the box. Is the litter too dusty for him?

How old do kittens need to be before they start using silica litter?
I just adopted mittens from my local shelter on June 8. When I brought him home he was very scared. Now he has settled in our home. I just adopted 2 kittens & both are 6 weeks old. When they use their litter box, they tend to use their head to make a deep hole for their poop. They use their paws too but also use their head. I am using a pellet litter and am wondering if that may be too heavy or difficult for them to move. I was using regular litter at first but noticed one of the kittens was trying to eat it.
