Hi is it ok to use special odour preventers to help prevent odours in cat litter boxes?I found this in Walmart is it a good brand?not quite sure
Adopted 3mo kitten use to paper pellet litter. Always uses litter box. I'm trying to find non dusty, I live in single wide trailer, clumping and unscented. What do you suggest I try?
My male cat does not bury his mess, could I use a little baking soda as a litter deodorizer? Any there other options to add to litter to help with smell?
My cat Lily was declawed last week. She hates the cat litter named Yesterday News. She is used to A&H Slide. Is Okocat litter safe and a good alternative cat litter while she is healing?
Why does my cat eat clumping clay litter?
I have a cat who seems to be refusing to use the litter boxes. He is older(over 14). I clean the boxes every other day. We have tried attractants, putting a car mat down, cleaning the boxes themselves, using odor/pheromone 'destroyers', and yet he still peed on the mat. I use the Arm & Hammer clump and seal for litter. What more can I do? Should I remove a couple of the doors on the covered boxes? Should I clean the boxes daily? What can I do?
I have been trying oko cat dust free paper for my asthmatic cat and it is good on not having dust but the litter itself has a natural odor to it to me like burning wood, is this harmful for my cats to smell. I have tried yestersdays new in the past and found it bad on covering ammonia. Oko cat covers ammonia but that burnong wood smells is overwhelming to me so isnt to them....so I switch back to yesterdays new???? Any ideas
My cat, Freya, is about 3.5 years old. She has always been confident in our house. Freya always make litter fly out of her litter box. At first she had a small litter box so we got her a bigger litter box but we still found litter everywhere. Then we got a litter box with a lid. Later we found Freya pulling litter out of the litter box with her paw. We are using the same litter the adoption center used before we got her. Does Freya just not like her litter?
My very large male cat has trouble getting intout his litter pan.. Do you know where I can get a large, very large pan?
My kitty (age 17) has begun eating kitty litter. I have switched from clumping clay, onto Feline Pine, to Yesterdays News, and now am using Abound which is grass seed. She has eaten every on of these litters that I have tried, so think that what I finally have will not be as damaging to her as all the others I have tried. She has hyperthyroidism, kidney failure, megacolon, and arthritis. She still has a decent quality of life despite these issues, and is holding her own.
I had great advice from your side for my allergic cat,who now has skin problems that might be from his litter,(he doesn't have flees or other problems, only allergy),but the litter I used is now not available,it's produced specially for one place that now don't have it,i've red for Tigerino nuggies litter that is most similar to mine,I use only small granulated pure clay, but the new one is only with aroma,is it safe to use aromatic litter for sensitive cat,or any advice for safe litter, thank you
My cat is 7 & is heavy (15# instead of 12/13). The last few months, he's been urinating in the hallway off & on, & he was vomiting occasionally. His vet ran bloodwork (not sure what tests), said everything looked normal. They couldn't get urine. We tried Clavamox, thought may allergy, so switching food to Instinct. I've been cleaning his litter box more, especially since his poop smells foul the last couple days. There's 1 other cat in the house & 3 litter boxes (1 ea floor). What else can I do?
