Is this healthy for 4 year old chihuahuas? I know this isn't labeled as for SMALL BREEDs, but iti s alright & still healthy for them, right? The chi's won't eat anything other than salmon flavor and I trust Blue. What is the recommended serving size?
- Yes. I have a 14 year old chihuahua/Boston terrrier mix as well as an American Staffordshire/American Bulldog mix. Both eat the same thing mixed with Dr Marty’s Nature Blend as a topper. The Blue Buffalo salmon has small enough kibble for the 14 year old to chow down on.

I have been buying this food for over 2 years and thought that it contains salmon. However, just today I looked at the ingredients and it seems that it contains beef, lamb, chicken and just FISH MEAL. Is this correct?

How many cups of food per pound?
- The Bag will have feeding instructions. But my 50 LB Bulldog gets 1 Cup in the a.m., and 1 Cup in the p.m. We up it a little during the cooler winter months when we are more active.

Is there a dry dog food that is low protein? My dog is diabetic and needs low protein
- Yes. My last dog was diabetic and also had congestive heart failure so I fed him Science Diet Prescription canned which is designed especially for these conditions. You will have to get it from a DVM as it is not sold on line.
