One of the ingredients listed is 'dried kelp'. Is it 'Carrageenan', which happens to be dried kelp used in your wet food?

Does anyone know if I need to slowly switch food over if using the same brand but just a different flavor? Thinking of switching from salmon to chicken. Some of my cats are starting to turn their noses up to the salmon.
- My cat loves the chicken best. It might be a good idea to trade out so they have a variety instead of just one flavor. I do that every so often, and seems to be appreciated. I guess cats get tired of the same thing every day just as we would.

What is the ash content for this food? What is ash? My late kitty developed bladder stones due to high ash content in his food. What is considered high ash content?
What in this food causes cat to throw up? Anything or is it just the cat? He likes it but after eating sometimes throws up....
- Your fur baby’s tummy may be too sensitive to the food. My cat does this from time to time but it’s not because of the actual food. Sometimes she eats too much too fast. So sometimes I just give her a smaller portion at first of the day . Also giving them daily probiotics helps a lot with their digestion . And I highly recommend getting a more elevated feeding bowls. They digest their food much better when the bowls are elevated so the food goes down better. Hope this helps.

The product description clearly states "No Chicken (or poultry byproduct) meals". The list of ingredients, however, has as the second one Chicken Meal. This does not seem to support the original statement. Would you clarify please.
- No chicken/poultry BY-PRODUCT meals vs. has Chicken Meal. So no beaks, feathers, feet, etc. Does have chicken meat, skin. Don't know about bones or giblets.

Hello,my cat initially weighed 16 lbs upon adopting. Now she is 17.6 lbs. Her current diet is Blue Buffalo Nature's Evolutionary Diet Chicken, it is rated as 410 kcals/cup. We have been feeding her 3/4 of a cup (recommended for 14lb cat) with some treats. She is an indoor cat with no known medical issues. On average we try to exercise her ~15 minutes each day but lately she hasn't been as interested with her toys. We are considering lowering her food to 1/2 cup

Hey guys, I’m slowly transitioning my dogs over to adult food but they are still getting their puppy food. Mia always has some kind of allergy so I was looking into getting BLUE Basics® Grain-Free Salmon & Potato Recipe For Adult Dogs but it doesn’t have any chicken or poultry by-product meals, corn, wheat, soy, dairy or eggs. Hi there. I was thinking about switching my cat to a better quality food. I know the first at least 3 ingredients should be chicken, chicken meal etc vs corn or grains. My cat is 20lbs. Vet told me he should be 16lbs & be on a low fat diet. I don't think his purina pro plan weight mgmt is helping anymore. Fat is 12.5% max in that food. But other foods have more fat. I wonder if a grain free diet would help keep him full longer? How many calories/cups a day he should eat? Worried about weightgain
