Questions
One of the ingredients listed is 'dried kelp'. Is it 'Carrageenan', which happens to be dried kelp used in your wet food?
- Thanks for reaching out! Dried kelp is not the same ingredient as carrageenan. They are derived from different types of seaweed. Kelp offers a broad spectrum of trace minerals and vitamins. We hope this helps.

Has anyone that uses the blue Buffalo natural evolutionary diet actually has luck with weight loss in their cat? I'm thinking of putting my overweight 8 yo on this

Are Blue Wilderness cans recyclable?
Does anyone know if I need to slowly switch food over if using the same brand but just a different flavor? Thinking of switching from salmon to chicken. Some of my cats are starting to turn their noses up to the salmon.
- My cat loves the chicken best. It might be a good idea to trade out so they have a variety instead of just one flavor. I do that every so often, and seems to be appreciated. I guess cats get tired of the same thing every day just as we would.

What is the carb content of this food?
- The equation I found is 81.5-(%protein)-(%fat)= carbs so around 23.5% is the answer

What is the ash content for this food? What is ash? My late kitty developed bladder stones due to high ash content in his food. What is considered high ash content?
What in this food causes cat to throw up? Anything or is it just the cat? He likes it but after eating sometimes throws up....
- Your fur baby’s tummy may be too sensitive to the food. My cat does this from time to time but it’s not because of the actual food. Sometimes she eats too much too fast. So sometimes I just give her a smaller portion at first of the day . Also giving them daily probiotics helps a lot with their digestion . And I highly recommend getting a more elevated feeding bowls. They digest their food much better when the bowls are elevated so the food goes down better. Hope this helps.

The product description clearly states "No Chicken (or poultry byproduct) meals". The list of ingredients, however, has as the second one Chicken Meal. This does not seem to support the original statement. Would you clarify please.
- No chicken/poultry BY-PRODUCT meals vs. has Chicken Meal. So no beaks, feathers, feet, etc. Does have chicken meat, skin. Don't know about bones or giblets.
