out of all the brands at petsmart, this is the only one without bad ingredients. she loves this wet food, I mix it in with her blue buffalo life protection dry food.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice and gentle food which has been nice for the older doggies! It has all the good stuff that they need to thrive and be healthy. It hasn't caused any upset stomach problems and they seem to really enjoy the taste! This comes in a standard can which is fine, has a nice beefy smell and a pate texture.

About three months ago, our dog became very sick with severe diarrhea. At the time, we were feeding her a combination of Blue Buffalo Chicken flavor dry food and Blue Buffalo Beef flavor for Adults canned food. We had to take her to the vet to try to see what was wrong with her. She was tested for parasites which was negative and the vet could find nothing wrong with her. She was prescribed some medication which helped with the diarrhea but when the medicine ran out, the severe diarrhea returned. We discussed with our the vet the possibility that there may be something wrong with the dog food we were feeding her. The vet did not know for sure but said it could be a possibility. We changed her diet, eliminated Blue Buffalo completely, gave her some special canned food for sensitive GI systems and she eventually returned to normal. The vet recommended that we very gradually attempt to reintroduce Blue Buffalo food back into her diet. Over the course of about one month, we started to give her Blue Buffalo food again. We first started with a small amount of Blue Buffalo Chicken flavor dry food which she tolerated fine. We then started to reintroduce Blue Buffalo Chicken flavor canned food again which she also tolerated fine. Then a couple of days ago, we began to feed her small amounts of Blue Buffalo Beef flavored canned food again and within two days, her severe diarrhea returned. Of course there is no way to definitively say it is the Blue Buffalo Beef flavored canned food that is responsible for her problem but by the process of elimination, it seems very likely to us that this is the problem. She tolerated all other types of food just fine; steamed rice, boiled chicken, the special canned food an even the other types and flavors of Blue Buffalo, just not the Beef flavor. We're not sure if she is just sensitive to some of the ingredients or it we got a bad batch. We will be contacting Blue Buffalo directly and provide them with the lot number on the can.

I appreciate the real ingredients and wholesome recipe, but let’s talk about the real test: hiding medicine. I thought I could be clever. I buried the pill like a treasure. She sniffed it out like a seasoned detective and spat it out with dramatic flair. Apparently, this food is delicious but not deceptive. If you're looking to trick your dog into taking meds, keep looking — this one isn’t fooling anyone with a sniffer. But if you just want to make your pup’s day with a tasty meal, it’s a winner!
