BEST DOG FOOD FOR LOSEING WEIGHT
Dr. Hinson, since blue buffalo has a lot of calories and my maleās weight is steadily increasing (as expected because he is still growing) what food can I use to keep his weight under control because if I leave one cup of kibbles (each) out for them, Iām lucky if they finish it within three days so itās not like Iām over feeding them plus they get daily exercise so I guess what Iām looking for is a kibble thatās grain free and can help feed my male enough but not get overweight.
Weight Loss in Dogs: i have 2 Chihuahua's who have been on a diet with no results. The 1st dog weighs 10 lbs and should 5 to 6 lbs. The 2nd dog weighs 20lbs and should weigh 12 to 14 pounds. This is according to the Vet. We feed them Blue Buffalo Healthy Weight and Fresh Pet. Dog 1 gets 15 grams of each, Dog 2 gets 40 grams dry and 25 wet. Both are fed 2 time a day. The dogs willnot walk or any type of actual exercise.
I am trying to find a healthy , natural dog food for my dog , he is a 75lb coon dog , he's been on blue buffalo for some time now, he eats very little of it every day , I recently have been looking into other good dig foods , my friend feeds her dog Bill Jac dog food , she gave me some to try and my dog seemed to love it , but I was reading the ingredients and it states that they use 5kbs of chicken to make a 6lb bag , but it also says that they only use the chickens organs for it ! Is this a he
My 7 year old male min pin is overweight. He weighs 9.4lbs. For the last 2 months I've been feeding him Blue Buffalo Healthy Weight/Small Breed dog food. He gets 2oz in the morning & 2oz at night and no treats or table food at all. He is taken for daily walks and he still hasn't lost an ounce! I'm thinking I need to try a different food (he's been eating this kind for years.) He is otherwise healthy. What's the best food to give him for weight loss?
When is a good time to start switching my 7 month old puppies over to adult food? I have corgis so Iām wanting to get them on a brand of food that helps manage their weight because as of now i feed them on can of blue buffalo wet food and one cup of blue buffalo dry food. My male is now 23 lbs and my female lost a pound so sheās back to 20lbs. I prefer to stick to blue buffalo and grain free, my corgi has an extremely sensitive GI tract let me tell you.
Hey guys, Iām slowly transitioning my dogs over to adult food but they are still getting their puppy food. Mia always has some kind of allergy so I was looking into getting BLUE BasicsĀ® Grain-Free Salmon & Potato Recipe For Adult Dogs but it doesnāt have any chicken or poultry by-product meals, corn, wheat, soy, dairy or eggs. Is that even healthy missing all of those food groups? Right now my dogs are on Blue buffalo freedom grain free.
I am rescuing 2 sister Schnauzer females who will turn 7 in April. They are healthy (owner surrender, due to his ill health) but overweight. One needs to lose 3 pounds, the other 2. Are they considered adult or seniors? Is Blue Buffalo Life Protection weight management best for them? No sign of bladder stones but they were a problem with my prior Schnauzer, and I fed her Royal Canin SO. Should I start them on SO food with no sign of problems? Would grain free be best? Also have concern about
I have a mature Australian shepherd female who is 8 years old and has had excess protein in her urine. Her vet recommended feeding her a dog food with LOWER protein percentage which is SO HARD TO FIND! I found a Blue Buffalo senior dog food that has 16% crude protein (vs 19, 22, 24% in other dog foods) but recently was advised that Blue Buffalo is not good for dogs. Do you recommend a good dog food for her that is lower in protein? Thanks
I have a Bernese Mountain dog who weighs 94 pounds. He's 4 yrs old and doesn't like to run and play. I am looking for a weight management food which will help reduce his weight without drying his skin.. I've tried a couple of weight management brands in the past but it dried out his skin and caused itching and dandruff. Please help. Thank you!
