Cat diagnosed hyperthyroid. Vet sold us Hills Thyroid. Full of corn and cat allergic to corn. She doesn't know iodine content of other foods. Need high protein, no grain, no fish, good taurine and low salt and iodine below .4. Can't seem to find that info. Bought Merrick Purrfect Bistro Grain Free Chicken which met requirements. But it is dry and 1/3 of it is powder. Have always used Natural Balance but iodine is 2.2. Can you tell me what the iodine/salt content is in a food that will work
my sisters cat was told to give her cat BB Hydrolyzed dry food--she has had diarrhea ever since --think she might have iBD any other Hydrolyzed can u suggest please
Our 1 1/2 year old female ragdoll feline started loosing patches of fur for last 2 weeks. No scabs/raw spots on skin. Vetinarian concludes not fleas or ringworm. No known environmental changes or new house products. Now starting Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein Adult HP for 2-3 weeks in case it's food allergies. It's $50 for 7.7 lbs. Is there a less expensive equivalent Purina or other brand?? Thanks from Florida.
What does a hypoallergenic diet contain for a 4 year old male cat?
Best low-carb wet food for cats?
Nutro, Blue Buffalo, Wellness, Taste of the Wild or Rachel Ray Nutrish for dry cat food? Cat has no known allergies or health conditions. Open to other recommendations. Want high quality and natural food that is healthy

Can you recommend a specific food for a cat with IBD? (Specific brand and name?) preferably wet?
Whats best dog food w/ zero chicken (no by product etc? has IBD (via ultrasound&GI Panel-no scope) We’ve tried almost all IBD vet food (RC HP, RC low fat GI, Hills...) I have researched & doc. his symps. For a year now &95% positive hes having (bloating after eating, licking/biting paws, loud bowel sounds all worse after eating, normal poop, no vomit)from a food allergy. He’s on pred & meds. Im going to do elimating diet but I want to find food w/no chicken to start off w/during this process
After months of IBD and diarrhea, we switched jack to Royal Canin KO formula. All poop issues 100% resolved, but then the vomiting started. Always bile. Omeprazole and Pepcid have been unsuccessful. Since it started when we started the KO, I assume it’s related but I’m nervous to switch lest poop problems come back. Looking for novel protein, with grain, with no peas/potatoes/chickpeas/lentils. Would you recommend Purina Pro Plan Focus Adult Sensitive Skin & Stomach Salmon & Rice Formula Dry ?
My best friend's cat (11 yrs old) has rec'd a diganosis of EARLY stage CKD. Vet was very concerned with high levels of phosphates and now I am concerned about my cats nutrition as it sounds that high protein/phosphates are the culprit in some cats. My cat is healthy so far. Fed Blue Buffalo Wildnerness Salmon (40% protein, 1.47 phosphates). I want to be proactive to circumvent the potential of CKD with her. Suggestions/advice needed for optimum food for her.
13 y/o male cat with hyperthyroidism. Need recommendation for affordable dry cat food.
