Description

The Black Kuhli Loach scavengers the bottom of the aquarium looking for leftover food. The Giant Kuhli Loach is considered a "scale-less fish," which means they can be more susceptible to diseases like Ich. Slower acclimation and pristine water conditions will help reduce the chance of diseases. They have an elongated body and barbels that they use to scavenge. Provide an environment with lots of caves and hiding places for this loach to sleep in. Adding this loach to an aquarium with sandy substrate or fine gravel with plants will help mimic their natural environment. Be aware they may uproot plants when they are on the hunt for food. For continued health, feed this loach a mix of frozen Bloodworms and high-quality sinking pellets.
