The Black Ghost Knifefish is a remarkable and unusual species that will bring a lot of attention to its aquarium. They produce a weak electrical charge at their caudal peduncle, which allows them to locate food. This fish can grow to be over a foot in length if properly cared for. Provide an environment with plenty of hiding places where the Black Ghost Knifefish can go when feeling shy. They prefer more dimly lit aquariums and will spend more time hiding if the aquarium is too brightly lit. They are fairly timid but can bully smaller fish, which is why it is recommended to house with similar sized tank mates. Provide a varied diet of freshwater frozen foods and small pellet or flake foods.

I have a freshwater fish in my aquarium that I cannot identify. It resembles a Mosquito fish but is lighter in color, thinner, swims differently, and has what appear to be sparkles on its sides. I caught it with a net in a school of mosquito fish but it is different. it was the only one in the school that looks the way it does. I found it in the shallow part of a lake in Florida. Please help me identify it.
Can you diagnose a guarana? He has started swimming near the center of the tank in a jerky motion.
I have an angelfish and a red tail shark in a 15 gallon tank for about 4 days and they get along great. The angel fish has been almost swimming kind of lazy like almost floating and then will swim when off balance. And belly kinda looks swollen as well as eyes. And my red tail shark seems to have a gray patch on it's side and not swimming as active as he was. Either hides in the back of tank or in a house for hours.
Hi I recently got six fish and four of them are good but two of them which are the same type of fish haven't eaten anything ever since I got them I don't know if it's the food. And one seems lost and keeps bumping into the tank and they usually stay in one place and one of its eyes are turning black. They are the black ones in the photos. Thank you
I have 2 salmenese tiger fish and two smaller fish in approximately 3.5 L bowl. I bought them on 1 April. 3 act normal but one act abnormal from first day. One salmenese tiger fish doesn't move much first it stayed at bottom now it's gapping at surface and if I try to catch to check it it goes down again. It's fins are turning red or I don't know if it already was. I don't understand how to help. Parents are out town so I can't go to shop. I am not sure if all are eating food.
