The Black Emperor Tetra will make an awesome schooling fish. Their unique color pattern is bound to impress. This little guy will thrive in aquariums with plants and drift wood, which will help stimulate their natural habitat. They prefer very clean water and neutral pH to thrive. This Tetra will display optimal coloration and health in a planted aquarium. The Black Emperor has smaller mouths and will need pellet and flake foods small enough. They are a smaller, non-boisterous fish, so they should be paired with other peaceful fish that make them feel safe and do not compete for food. Consider a group of seven of these fish to be an absolute minimum as far as stocking goes.

We have four cardinal tetras, three glo danios, three glo tetras and a albino Cory cat. They are all the type to only get an inch to two inches long and so we have them in a twenty gallon tank. Have gravel and silk/plastic/resin/and live plant/decor and proper filter/heater/air. Also have changed filter once a month, siphoned 25% water/debris out every two weeks using water conditioner but don't know why we have murky water and how to remedy this...
I had one rosy Tetra for 2.5months till yesterday and on yesterday itself I added a pair of guppies and binos . I also added pebbles in my Fish tank yesterday. Today I was shocked to find out that my Rosy Tetra who was totally healthy till yesterday had it's tail fins slightly cut and wasn't looking as a good healthy Tetra. What is the cause for this? Is he injured or sick ? Please Give me a solution to this
Last Monday, I got 3 bleeding heart tetras. All seemed well. When I checked on the fish last evening, I noticed 1 of the bleeding heart tetras was missing her tail. I know she does not have fin rot, as her other fins look healthy. It didn't look infected, so I decided to let it heal on its own. When I woke up, she was floating on her back, I flipped her around and she was fine. Now the other 2 are fin nipping her and ganging up on her. I moved her to a small glass bowl, what now?
