The Black Cap Basslet is a great starter fish for the beginner hobbyist. They are brightly colored, easy to care for and readily take prepared foods, which make them very appealing. They have an adult size of about 4" which makes them ideal for nano aquariums. This fish is known to find a hole in live rock and make a home out of it. The Black Cap Basslet can become territorial, so use caution when adding more fish to the aquarium and only one Basslet should be added. For continued health, provide a diet of frozen meaty foods and pellets. They are commonly misidentified as a Dottyback due to the color and body shape. They are purple in color with a black stripe on its head which resembles a "cap." The Black Cap Basslet are found in the waters within the Caribbean.

ACCLIMATION: Avoid exposing new aquatic life to bright lights after opening the box. Turn off aquarium lights prior to floating aquatic life. Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. A bacteria booster addition can assist with the addition of new aquatic life. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe for the addition of new aquatic life. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried and frozen foods, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller aquariums.

I have bought 2 parrot cichlids about 20 days ago. One of the parrot fish is constantly hiding behind the filter. Eating well but when it comes out to swim the other parrot fish keeps pinching it and doesn't allow to it to move around in the tank. I don't understand the problem. Please suggest what to do. Also the color of the fish is bit dull as compared to other one.
