Not sure about this product. Our dog will not get near this so have used it on the cat. Sometimes he is fine and other times not. I have found if I pull any fur off the prongs then my fingers feel like they have been sliced but nothing too bad. The thumb rester part is not always handy but I will keep trying this thing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a long haired double coat dog. This comb works amazingly. It got out matted fur I didn't even know she had and she didn't seem bothered at all. First time she didn't wince when I have done this type of work on her. Made my work easy and made me happy that she was more comfortable.
