So I say great tank, but gave it a one star review, what gives right? It states in the add 40 gallon it is infact a 4 gallon.

I bought this for my office due to the size, decor and claims about it being low maintenance. Unfortunately I was a novice fishkeeper and did not realize how few options I would have for what to keep in the tank. The general consensus seems to be that the tank size is really only appropriate for a betta, other species seems to be controversial to keep in a tank that size. I bought it hoping to keep shrimp or snails, the setup is which is not appropriate for either. There is no way to modify this filter setup to make it shrimp safe and the ceramic media is too rough for snails. The decor and tank in general is beautiful, but the decor is so hard/rough that it will test a betta's fins. I replaced the decor with silk decor for the betta I bought but noticed my betta still seemed stressed/frantic in the tank. It turns out bettas do not like being in curved tanks due to the impact on their vision. Also, I had a lot of trouble with the Biorb heater kit I bought which was designed for this tank. It would not stay secured and emitted heat far greater than the temperature it was programmed too. I have had to do water changes 4x/week or more to maintain water parameters which is far greater than the advertised claims of once every 4-6 weeks. It is a pretty tank, but unfortunately it is a pretty tank that is empty and being used as a water feature vs an aquarium. I ended up buying a more traditional setup and it is going much better.

No, I do not recommend this product.
