We are traveling due to hurricane evacuation and use this carrier for my 16 lb dog. Dog, put her head out the small zipper pocket on the side and could not get her head out. She was choking, her tongue was hanging out. Luckily I was able to rip it to get her out.  I do wonder though why it was so easy to rip.

Lasted me 3 weeks with my 4 lb dog it’s becoming a safety issue if the mesh comes off

I've had this for years and it's been fine for the very infrequent use of taking my cats to the vet. Unfortunately, this carrier seems exclusively for those fortunate enough to have a vehicle or who travel only inside an airport. If you have to actually go outside with it, it's only appropriate if it's a nice day out. This carrier is useless under any other weather condition. The generous vents and lack of any kind of optional waterproof cover mean you can't actually take it outside. So if you don't need to walk or take a bus or have to wait outside or put it down in rain or snow, it's dandy.

We have a four-pound service animal and travel quite often. We have gone through two of these carriers and they both failed in the exact same way. The entrance zippers on the front and back simply do not last. They either break or completely detach. The zipper seems also pull away as well. If they could use a better-quality zipper and sewing technique, they would have a top-notch carrier.

I?ve had this carrier for 10 years. The large allows me to carry both my Yorkies together. Before I got my second wee guy I took my older one on a flight and it fit perfectly under the seat in front of me. I use it all the time and I leave it open all the time because they love napping in it.

Back in September I was given this older when a teal-colored one for my ferret, Gus from a friend who runs a ferret rescue here in Phoenix after my other carrier from a different brand broke. Aside from one of the zippers occasionally slipping a tooth from being worn, I have to say that I am truly amazed as I had to take public transit and take Gus along with me , and your little zipper side to reach in was a lifesaver. He wanted to feel my touch and I was able to calm him without risking him trying to get out. I love the ventilation in the micro mesh screen. I use this for traveling and his training. The only other bag I have is a discrete carrier purse for when I go into stores. And at home everytime I go outside in the yard I take Gus with me in this carrier. he even sleeps in it sometimes when I have it on the bed will choose to go in it to sleep he absolutely loves this thing. You really should hit up the ferret community with these bags, this is just wonderful. And also this is all obviously going to be in my memories because I already have so many pictures of my Little Gus poking his head out of his carrier, and I would love to send you some. And one more thing the zippers they have a little fastener so they can't open up the zipper which is what these little guys can do so easily. But no not in this! Just travelled back from Fl with 2 small Boston terrier puppies. These carriers were perfect. The dogs had plenty of room and plenty of windows (screens) to look out of. The cardboard on the bottom was strong enough to support them and not fold. The sides were of the same quality and didn?t bend much at all. The carrier (small) fit very comfortably under the seat in front of my seat on Jet Blue. The dogs slept the whole ride but I like the fact it had a half zipper window to be able to unzip and pet the dog. This was a great purchase.
