The Bennett's Sharpnose Puffer is littered with red, orange, yellow and white spots, with markings around their eyes and a black spot by its dorsal fin. They are unique in how they move; unlike other fish this puffer will use its pectoral fins to move forward and backwards. Their scaleless body makes them sensitive to parameter changes. Puffers will inflate their body when threatened, so to prevent this try using a container when transferring the fish instead of a net. Like all puffers, the Bennett's Sharpnose is not reef safe because they will nip at corals and all invertebrates, as well as tank mates that are slow or have very long fins. To reduce aggression, provide plenty of hiding places and keep the puffer well fed. Since they have sharp beaklike teeth, provide a diet with shelled items and meaty food to help prevent the beak from getting overgrown. Their small adult size of about 4" makes them ideal for smaller aquariums.

Hi, My fish has white spot which is expanding. It also has something around mouth. Spot looks white with small dots in it. I thought it is an ich outbreak. Currently tank is treated with Sera omnipur (30% of recommended dose). It is big pufferfish. thanks for your help Nikola
I have a freshwater pufferfish and he isn’t eating the fish flakes like the other 6 fish in the tank (red tail shark, clown loach, and tetras). Do they need to be fed live or frozen food? He also butts into the aquarium walls here and there. Is this caused because of stress or anxiety? If so how can I fix that as well.
Hi, my name is Emma and I have a male half moon betta fish named pucker. I’ve had him for about three weeks now and just bought him a tank about a week ago. When I bought him from petsmart they ran out of betta food so they gave me this bug bites tropical fish and he ate it but didn’t like it. But I went back and bought him his food, which colour enhances. Today I went to go feed him and noticed his colour has changed, did it change in a good way? Also does he look healthy to you?
Hi, I just got a fish from a friend and I don’t rlly know anything about that fish, it’s rlly small(about 4cm) and I want to know the breed of the fish and how to take care of it. Thanks you
Hello, my betta fish has a small ball like formation on his bottom fin, ive had just noticed it today and i am not sure on what it is.
My betta fish is bloated and has a dark patch on his left side where the scales are not laying flat. What I tried feeding him a pea, but it didn't help. Please help!
Hi. My back moor goldfish is currently about six years old and I have grown quite attached to him. I have had him along with some other fish for half my life. But sadly he has developed a large slit on the lower half of his tail. He is not a fan tail. He has a common goldfish tail. It looks quite painful and my accounting has a similar problem. Is there anything I can do. I will be devastated if my beautiful babies die. SOS!! PLS HELP
My year old has contracted either Ich or velvet. He is trying to scratch against his tank he has white patches but also when I've shined a light on him It also looks like he could have velvet. When I noticed his lethargy and his behavior I immediately transferred him into a smaller bowl to treat him with betafix (all I have until the pet shop opens covered his bowl to leave him in darkness His appetite is normal. He's bloated and is breathing but his gills I think are swollen. IDontWantHimToDie
My Betta fish has a bump on his head. The bump is the same color as his skin. It showed up rather quickly, within 10 hours or so. He's had it for twp days. I've had the Betta fish for 1 1/2 years. Whats' the bump and how do I get rid of it. Thank you Becky
I bought my beta fish about two weeks ago from you guys. Lately, he has really only been surface breathing. He's lost a lot of color primarily in near the face, and his bottom "skinny" fin. He looks swollen right there too. His face is white, and it looks like he is missing scales by his eye. Near the back, he's got a weird brownish spot, and another one under his side fins. Not sure what is wrong with him.
He's a full grown betta fish, I've had him for a little over half a year, adopted him from a friend. He has a filter and a heater in his tank & I try to stick with recommended products. As of the last couple months, his fins are curling up in the back and he will only eat one pellet every other day or so. I had been feeding him three pellets twice daily. Last week I started cleaning his 1 gallon tank twice a week instead of once a week, and am considering upgrading to a 2.5 gallon tank instead.
