Would Benebones be too harsh for my 7 month old pit mix. (around 50 lbs)?

Because this product is NOT edible, what is in this product that makes it so? Is it toxic? And to what extent? If bits and parts were ingested, to what danger does it present?
- Our products are not toxic and are made with USA sourced nylon and flavored with real ingredients. It is hard and durable. Tiny pieces may come off but none should be larger than a grain of rice.
